This is a good step forward. I understand that over the last couple decades, diesels have been strong sellers in Europe. Switching new car supply from diesel to PHEV should help quite a bit in transitioning to cleaner options. Also interesting to hear they have an i3 prototype with 3x the battery capacity.
Meanwhile, here in the U.S., Ford is dropping cars in favor of less efficient SUVs.
