In addition toe raw numbers, the article also includes per capita data, percentage of sales, % of the total fleet etc.

I like the pic for the shell recharging station.
It kind of makes sense for gas stations to get electric car chargers.
They all have 3 phase power already and are everywhere.
Install a service drop to a cluster of chargers and now electric cars can be filled up at the gas stations too.

Actually, charging mostly doesn't make sense for gas stations.

Many gas stations are in urban areas. Assuming home, apartment or workplace charging stations at L2 rates, which is far cheaper than DCQC, is the vast majority of charging, gas stations in urban areas will be mostly redundant.

In between urban areas, long distance travel will require more DCQC chargers than gas pumps. Rather than the typical 5 minute stop for gasoline, likely that charging stops will be 20 minutes or longer.

More and more people who live in urban apartments would like to drive an EV, but can't. I think that it makes sense for some gas stations to get a combo QC station with an L-2 station attached. They'd have to charge for it, though, unless they just hosted EVGo type stations.

Before I even looked at the article, I knew Norway would be ahead of everyone else if they counted per-capita. :D

Given the subsidies and perks Norway offers, along with a small, fairly affluent population, hardly a surprise.
