Regen braking vs friction braking

Sun Sep 15, 2013 8:50 pm

Can someone please share the knowledge on how the regen and friction braking are applied?

1) When accelerator is released, regen braking is on. When brake pedal is pressed, is the friction braking applied right away? Does it depend on how hard the brake pedal is pressed?

2) Does ECO, D and B mode have any impact on how friction braking is applied?

Thanks.

See this thread: Max regen - at what point do mechanical brakes engage? which also links to research by TickTock containing further details.
