When A/C is enabled, and the thermostat setting on the control panel is set to something that the A/C can keep up with (say 78 degrees), does the compressor cycle on and off to give only the cooling needed, or does the compressor run all the time, and the Leaf mix in outside air?

It runs as needed and also only as fast as necessary.

I have noticed on the "power" display (SL) that the AC will pull 1.5+ Kw when trying to cool the cabin down, and then taper off. It doesn't cycle like a ICE compressor does. I looks like it is a variable speed compressor (just a guess).
