I went to the Pick-n-Pull in Tumwater and found a 16" Continental T 135 / 90R 16 temporary spare that still has perfect tread and flawless paint in the back of a 2004 Altima. The car was rear-ended so the yard had never removed the spare, but it was undamaged. Next car over was a 2003 Altima and we found an unused black Nissan scissor jack with all of its yellow stickers and excellent paint.
Total spend = $21.16
I just need to find a decent 21mm lug wrench and an OEM jack handle that fits my new jack and I'll be in business.
I don't know if Dropbox picture links work but here's a couple shots:https://www.dropbox.com/s/kt9bpi96eikbn ... 9.jpg?dl=0https://www.dropbox.com/s/2whnxfyv9anaj ... 1.jpg?dl=0
Looks identical to mine: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=20415&start=20
Fits the same on my 16SL, 1/2' difference in diameter between the 16' spare and 17' tires, If a flat on the front happens , I would suggest transferring a good 17' back tire to the front and run the temp. spare on the rear,
I also remembered to grab the handle c/w lug wrench when I found mine.
That's good news thanks for the confirmation on the size.
We looked in like 7 trunks for a decent jack & lug / handle but only found the one good jack. We found several handles but they were pretty much beat to death, one was twisted in to a pretzel, someone was having a terrible day.
Anyway, I looked on eBay and found this, it appears it will work and comes in a nice bag, etc. Ordered it.http://www.ebay.com/itm/Spare-Tire-Tool ... 30&vxp=mtr
I'm debating putting in a false plywood floor in the trunk to just throw the spare under, I'm going to have to move the Bose amp off it's mounts and scoot it around, not sure.
