This guy seems to have gotten a lot of range on his old Leaf. He claims 110-120 miles on a charge after battery replacement. I asked him to use Leaf Spy but don't think he is the most technical guy. Think he lives in LA. Maybe someone here can test the battery for him?

definitely not a a 30kwh battery, because math. His average mileage showed 4.4 mi/kwh Multiply by 24 and you get 105.6.

He would have had a range of 132 if it was a 30KW batt.

Nissan has said that the 24kwh batteries are not compatible with the 30kwh batteries and they have no plans to change that.

You probably right, but It depends on what data you choose to use. For example, in the video at 9:20 it says average 3.4 mi/kwh and range 98 miles. 3.4*28 = 95,2.

30kwhr is very unlikely

New 24kwhr can do over 120miles at 25mph
Yeah. And Edmunds achieved exactly 132 miles at 35 mph: https://www.edmunds.com/nissan/leaf/2011/long-term-road-test/2011-nissan-leaf-driving-it-to-the-bitter-end.html on an '11 Leaf.

New/replacement battery packs are quite "spunky" for the first few months; unfortunately, they eventually settle down.

Just got confirmation on Warranty Replacement for my Leaf. Expecting to get a 24 kWh battery. That said, replacements seem to have a larger capacity than the original 2012 battery

LEAF specs:
2012 SL (10/27/2012 in-service date)

Battery ordered: 8/14/2017

Looks like I got a 24kWh battery. Shows on sticker on battery.

Arrived 6 days after dropping off Leaf. Shipped from Sacramento (3939 N Freeway Blvd, Sacramento, CA)

Part:295B0-9RB9D
Part Date: 04/06/17
Serial: 1747xxxxxx

On a side note: That YouTube user posted a new video. 11/12 Bars and he only shows 85 miles remaining.

(Note: ECO mode mileage showing)
