I guess we are coming to a close on the 2011-2012 battery replacement relevance, but thought I would add my info.
Battery Replacement Deadline 28 May 2017
I dropped the 4th bar on 18 July 2017.
I took it immediately to my service manager. He called be back confirming the battery tested as "under", and would have been eligible for replacement prior to 28 May 2017. He gave me the number to call and open a case with Nissan for consideration. I did so. 8 days later I was approved at 100%. My battery is on order with a 6-8 week estimate.
A couple factors that I know came into play as they were questions my service manager or I had to respond to.
Multi Nissan customer. -We have a Juke.
Good Service customer. -I have spent the last year letting them service/replace everything needed on the Juke and Leaf. Even things I would normally do myself or source elsewhere for a discount. (New battery, Oil changes, New tires, Etc.) I also paid for the 3g Upgrade to the Leaf as soon as it was available.
I was also asked if I bought new or used. -Used
And how many miles it had when I bought it. -22K
I have to think that the low mileage weighed heavily on the decision. For those with a burning interest in all the data LeafSpy has to offer, I uploaded the log for the day of 4th bar drop. I am 99% certain that when I parked the car at 12:47 PM it had 9 bars, and when I got in at 4:53 it had 8 and I basically drove across the street to my Nissan Service center. There is a 1% chance I did not notice the drop at the noon drive, but I had been watching it like a hawk on every power up so I doubt it. You will have to download the file and widen the cell for Date/Time to see that data. CSV format issue.

Good luck to all those still waiting to see that bar drop in time, and to those that "missed it by that much".
