Yep. I wonder, does anyone have daily leafspy stats for a cold winter? Curious to know what to expect. I've seen daily graphs for happy CA cars but nothing from the frozen North.

Well, not from the frozen North, but still, my Ahr values basically stay the same from Nov 1 to Mar 1. I monitored them in 2015 & 2016 but since they were flat, I didn't bother with 2017. Even though I only have two data points for 2017, the downward slope hasn't changed much. My overall graph since 7/14 has a slope of -0.0072 Ahr/day (I think) with R2=0.969. I'll take another data point Nov 1st, but don't expect to lose my 4th bar until Spring 2019, maybe Fall 2018.

It finally happened!

Apologies for all the drama along the way. We had 3 unseasonably hot days here in MN, around 90F or above. I had my hopes, but that Ahr value just wouldn't move down - in fact it moved up a little during these hot days. Extreme frustration. But then tonight, on the way back home, I saw 8 bars. I don't think it had dropped much before I noticed, but at any rate my values were just not moving much over the past few days so these should be about right:

2012 SL, built 8/12
43.50 Ahr
45.25 Hx
40,618 Miles
28 QC / 2715 L1/L2

That's the third-highest Ahr I've seen, behind JPVLeaf (43.56) gbshaun (43.51) so I consider myself pretty fortunate. Warranty was up Jan 30 2018 with the cold winter looming.

Battery temp when it dropped was around 95F, and 89F ambient at the time. (Values edged up slightly by the time I took this pic).

Congratulations! You're one person who is happy (currently) with global warming.

Hah, no, not really. But I guess this did help a little. Will be glad to stop driving the LEAF in circles, though, which did feel a bit dirty even if it was solar/wind powered.
Now to find a competent dealer/shop/tech in MN. "Have you done a LEAF battery replacement?" "Do you mean the hybrid battery?" "Oh dear..."

AHr 41.90 SOH 64% ODO 36391 HX 57.40
2013 SL

There's a lot less data so far on 2013s, and at least the Hx numbers differ substantially from 2011/2012. But from the 8 reports I've been able to find, the average Ahr at drop for 2013s was about 41.5, and average Hx was 56.4. The highest Ahr at drop was 43.3, and the lowest was 40.05
(The average Ahr at drop for 2011/2012 is about 42.5)

Just dropped my 4th bar. Could not be happier about it. Here are my Leaf Pro Readings.

The Leaf is currently at the dealer getting the new battery pack installed. Here is a photo of the pack before it was installed in the car.

New Battery Pack is in and currently get approx 101 miles on a full charge. Compared with only 59 miles on a charge with the old battery pack. Attached are my Leaf Spy pro reading with the new battery pack vs the old battery pack.

The vehicle was manufactured in January 2013, spent it first two years in Georgia, was auctioned after lease return and brought to Las Vegas. I got it in March 2015. It dropped the first bar in October 2015, the second bar in June 2016, and the third bar in November 2016.

That's what worries me for mine - we have lots of data about when people did lose the 9th bar, but not a lot of data for those with 9 bars still holding on. I wonder how many low Ahr batteries still have 9 bars ...

I've been able to find about 8 reports of 2013s dropping the 9th bar; the average was 41.55 Ahr and the min was 40.05Ahr. I bet yours goes soon, though...

My fourth bar finally dropped.
Oct 12, 2017 - AHr=36.81, SOH=56%, Hx=49.75%, odo=25,670 miles, QC=4 L1/L2=2242

Replacement traction battery arrived on October 19th and installed this morning. I took this reading just before I left the dealership.

Hi all, I am new here and would appreciate input from this experienced crowd. I am considering purchasing a 2013 SL w/ Bose currently at 32,300 miles and 9 bars. I don't know the exact month the warranty expires. The owner, who works for a Nissan dealer, said a little less than a year (I can get more detail). I live in Phoenix, though it's now "winter" (i.e. in the 80's and 70's vs. the 100's). Is it worth the risk to spend about $9k and hope it drops to 8 bars?
