Well I just contacted this place: http://www.autosunroof.com/Contact.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

They have 5 locations, one is 27 miles from me which is doable and they say that they have done 400,000 sunroofs since 1977!

I think they will be a good choice.

hopefully I'm correct.

I'll let you guys know.............

Coolio! Post photos after the install. What are they charging and which roof are they using? I'd specify and request the Solaire 4300 one piece.

I just saw this thread - nice pictures, and very clean sunroof install:

These installers quoted $1050 installed for the Solaire 5300

They said they had problems with the two panel 930 and so don't carry it anymore.

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread but American Sunroof in San Diego specs the Solaire 4300 for the Leaf at about $1300 installed. They do fine work too.

I personally wouldn't choose a two panel roof, so good on their part. That is a really great price! I personally would request the 4300 because it has a manual switch - that is the roof only opens and closes when you push the button on it but I'm pretty sure it does have one touch opening. The 5300 is the exact same roof but it has auto close and some other added switch features I don't like and in my mind just more things that can potentially go wrong with it down the road. You might even save a few bucks since the 4300 costs a little less.

It has and can be done. Like the Tesla you can control if it's a problem or just let more light in. See links below
