Nice deal.
Regarding the WA Sales Tax exemption - this is officially available for cars costing less than $35,000. Based on you post & deal, I assume that means < $35K based on the final price & not the MSRP. Correct ?

That is correct. It is based on selling price (or true market value for leases). Here is a link describing the program:

http://dor.wa.gov/Docs/Pubs/SpecialNotices/2015/sn_15_Alternative_fuel_vehicles.pdf

From my reading of it, any finance cash back (i.e. NMAC) would be considered "from a third party" and thus not reduce the selling price of the car. That's probably a gray area. Fortunately I didn't have to worry about that since the selling price was already below $35K before any cash back finance incentive.

Regarding the WA State tax exemption, I read or heard that the legislature was considering yet another change to the language to allow tax emption on the first $35K of the vehicle selling price. I don't know what, if anything, came of that.

Ebusbar is 16A system and JuiceBox is 40A. You will need to see if you panel can support addition of a 50A breaker in there. If it can support 50A JuiceBox would be a good option with some future proofing in mind. If not, you may want to consider a 32A or 16A system.

wow!! That's an amazing deal. Do you know what kind of a lease would they offer for a SV trim?

Nope..

I was only looking for a cheap lease until my Tesla 3 comes in. This was the best I could do. I actually wanted $99 a month, but I wasn't able to get them to go that low.

:)

What I did was email all the dealerships in my area ask them for bids. That way I could get an idea of how much a S was going for, then I negotiated from there.

You could try that with a SV.

Wow that is really good deal. We were shopping for a 2016 Leaf S with QC at the beginning of May, the best lease offer we got was $2500 drive off and $150 (tax included) per month. We end up leasing a 2016 Leaf SV.

Thanks, an extra $30 a month does add up over 3 years.

But that extra $2500 from Monterey bay is nice. I'm in the East Bay so I don't get that extra rebate.
