Some have suggested using nail polish to help find the door unlock button.

My suggestion is to use clear adhesive-backed bumpers (often used to protect table tops). These are about 1/4" in diameter and you can still see the button icon through it.

I used one on the door unlock button and another on the driver's window switch.

I also used one on the radio volume button. For this one I trimmed the two sides of the button (to make it narrower) and it fit between the two raised bumps, so had a flatter surface to adhere to.

You can also use the Service menu in LeafSpy Pro to change how the door locks work. I set mine to auto-unlock when the car is put into Park so I don't have to fiddle with the door lock buttons when I stop to check my mail (I leave the car on). The default setting is to auto-unlock when you turn the car off.

I was wondering about this. Since I bought a used Leaf (2013 SL) I didn't know if those lights on the door (lock and unlock in particular) were burnt out when I bought it or if they just aren't supposed to light up. :?:
