Dublin Nissan has an email flyer for $109 /mo + 2500 down for a 3-year lease on a 2017 SV. This is for VPP. Non-VPP is typically $10-15/mo higher

I hven't shopped around yet. Will be doing this weekend. Could you share what quote you have got?

Hi Shop2order,
I am also looking to lease 2017 Nissan Leaf SV model in bayarea, can you please let me know what is the best offer that you got so far.

I am not VPP member and I dont have leaf.

Thanks

I am planning to lease a Leaf a second time after my last one was a total loss in an accident. Dealership told me that Nissan can offer me a $1000 cash discount for loyalty. Is this true? Could this be combined with a VPP quote?

California, bay area buyers -- could somebody respond with their latest quotes on 2017 SV model for a 3-yr lease, and the salesperson/dealership you got it from. I am planning to shop this weekend.

Dublin Nissan had 6 2017 SVs available at the start of the month. All are spoken for.
Anyone have news of tremendous 2017 LEAF lease deals?
Expect the bottom to fall out now that the reputed LEAF 2.0 is said to be on the way this September.

Anyone had any luck negotiating a buy out price in Austin? Town North leased me a 2013 four years ago, extended my lease twice. Told them this time I was either buying it or terminating my lease and they gave me a buy out price of 20k. It is my residual since I had a really low payment, but no way I am paying $20k for a car that sells for $8k. Going to contact some other Nissan dealerships, but not holding out much hope. Is there something else I should be asking for?

Thanks for any help
Do you have a login to the Nissan website? The one where it shows your previous payments and displays a balance. Does it show $20,000?

Yes, the $19+ is my residual on the finance website. Not offering any discount to it.

Karthik, this quote from Nissan Sunnyvale doesn't look right. It is far higher than Dublin Nissan.

Also longer lease should offer more discount. The monthly payments for 36m lease should be cheaper than 24m.

I haven't checked lately, but I'd bet I'd still be quoted a $400 a month lease for an SV up here, because they don't have any in stock to get rid of.

Wow! guessing there is not much movement there?

Following up on SF bay area lease deals -

Sunday we leased a 2017 SV for 36 months, including 15,000 miles/ year for $2400 down and $180.74/month. Numbers include our 8.0% tax.
I initially set the deal up with Richard Sam, Internet sales manager at the Autocom Oakland Nissan dealer. On Sunday Richard handed us off to Ray Abad. We were treated well by both. I talked to a number of other dealers who could not or would not match the deal. I was hoping a closer dealer could save us the 100 mile round trip to Oakland but they did not.

The deal relied on a VPP incentive as part of the capitalized cost reduction. I don't know what portion of the cap reduction was VPP, but the total reduction was $11,470 off the agreed value.

future:
disposition fee - 395
residual value - 10,353

Window sticker showed:
MSRP - $34,200
Options - $ 635
Dest. - $ 865

total - $35,700

Just going to follow up this post, in case someone else has similar issues. Turns out I wasn't talking to the correct person at Town North, the lease specialist contacted me and got me the correct pricing. I like my Leaf so I purchased it for $6k with ttl. Probably not the best deal, but it still works for me.

As someone who has been watching this board since I bought my Leaf, I wanted to pass along what I was able to do at my end of lease purchase.

So, I just bought my 2014 at the end of lease....

Buyout: $12k
Remaining Balance: $13.5k

Purchase Price: $5.5k

Location: Nissan Union City in Union City, GA

Hi Bpodbielski,
I have 2014 leaf S without QC. I leased for 36 months at $230, no down. Residual at $12100. Lease will end in June 2017.

Thinking of buying out. How did you get the purchase price of $5500?, yours has QC, does it mean I can get a better purchase price? Do I have to pay for remaining 4 months lease payment if I buy out? Can I do the buy out at your dealer? I called NMAC today, I was told to deal with dealer, NMAC no longer offer any discount , is this true?

The dealership where I leased my 2014 S offer me to take a new lease of a NEW 2015 SL with premium package. Yes 2015. It seems this is the last one in the lot. Should I lease this instead? According to the salesman, it is a 30KW battery pack. Does anyone know if 2015 offer 30kw battery pack? What would be a good lease price? I don't mind to lease it if it is very low lease price and really a 30kw pack. Any recommendation?

@kawan999 I called around to a number of dealerships in my area. I live in Alabama right now and all of the local dealerships wanted me to buy a new one and never told me about the offer. I called three different dealerships in the Atlanta area and took the best offer of them.

Purchased a 2017 SV Pearl Blue / Black with 4 options (floor & cargo mats, splash guard, protective cover, cargo net) in mid Hudson valley NY
MSRP $35,855 ($34,990 + $865 destination fee)
Constellation Energy customer rebate from Nissan Corp = $10,000
NY State Rebate = $1,700
Sales Tax $2,644
Tags/Doc Fee others = $298
All In $27,097

Net After Federal Tax Credit = $19,597

This is about as good a deal as i've seen anyone get (Austin and Colorado Group Buy programs, California VPP deals, etc) except for a few California leases which are about as good but retain the option of going even lower if the residual price can be negotiated down. I managed to combine the Constellation Energy rebate (which expires Mar 31) with the NY state rebate (which started Mar 21). At least one of these was not valid for leases hence the purchase option.

Now my questions for the forum:

1) What all to look for (other than the obvious no scratches, dents dings etc) when the car is delivered to me? Here is my partial list:
a) Level 2 charger
b) 2 key fobs
c) Title / Registration
d) Vehicle Manual

2) What all maintenance needs to be performed, and what is covered for free by the dealer? I forgot to ask about that. Is there any documentation promising it? Also, can we access other dealers for the same service? I bought the car from a dealer that is 85 miles away.
3) Also, do i need to get the LEaf Spy app / dongle to check the battery health regularly? Or is that only recommended for older cars?

its nice you are getting a level 2 charger but that is not normally how its done. You won't receive title or registration. title goes to owner, registration comes from your state DMV or licensing agency.

I think the level 2 charger is now included standard on all Leafs. I remember seeing it on a flyer and it was in the car.

I'm the owner so the title should either come with the car immediately or from the DMV later.

well first off, its an EVSE, not a charger and if so, what brand are you getting and how will it interface with your home?

It would be a good thing if the dealer bundled a L2 EVSE with the car, but I seriously doubt that was what you saw inside. The Leaf still comes with a L1 EVSE (110V) in the back, which Nissan now calls a "trickle charger" in its spec sheet.

The title does not come with the new vehicle. You should receive a temporary registration. You will receive title, registration, and plates from DMV in a few weeks (unless you transfer plates from a previous vehicle).
