Hello,

I'm going to buy a used Nissan Leaf. It looks great on the pics, but there are some dents on the hood in reality. The owner assures that the car haven't been damaged. Can I check it somehow?

Thanks in advance,
Thomas

Carfax is one of leading services of VIN checking (and as a result one of the most expensive). That's why I would recommend you lookup a vin number on https://trustvin.com/auto-history-by-checking-the-vin-number, http://www.dmv.org/vehicle-history.php, https://www.autodna.com/sample-reports/vehicle-history-usa-autocheck or you can google and find a service the most suitable personally for you. You'll receive almost the same information for much better price! Of course, the report will contain information just on essential damages or car accidents.

Post it for sale on eBay. The reason i say that is when i sold cars on there it always comes up with a bit of car history using the VIN so if you put up a ridiculous auction, view it and then end the auction you may be able to see if it has wrecks or was a total loss that way.

None of those things is going to tell you about smaller dents and scratches. The only way you are going to know that is to look at the vehicle yourself, or have someone you trust do so.
