I have a commute very similar to yours. I drive 35 miles per leg, the nearest level 2 charger is 0.5 miles from my work.
I just bought a 2014 Leaf S with 11,000 miles on it. It does not have the 6.6Kw charger option. SOH is 91% according to leaf spy.
After 2 weeks of driving, I have had very little issues with the commute. HOWEVER, I did find a 120v wall outlet near where I park. With 3 hours on the level 1 charger I can get home with about 25% charge on the battery.
I will also add that I only use the level 1 charger at home too. Once I came within 10 miles of turtle mode, but I drove 130 miles that day.
It seems like the key is to be deliberate about how you drive, and plug your car into every outlet you can find. Cut back on the speed, and limit ac/heater use.
