It's still holding on to that fourth bar...

That's crazy. I think you should post a picture of leafspy next to the dash indicator so we can make sure you're counting right. :)

Really!! According to your spreadsheet, drees and 91040 each lost their FIFTH bar at higher Ah than that.

Here's a OneDrive link to the Leaf Spy readings from yesterday. I'll go out and take a picture of the dash later today. I count the bars every time I get in the car, since I expected the fourth bar to drop months ago.

Here's a OneDrive link to the dashboard display. Yes, the lights are all lit up. I didn't bother to unplug, I just fired it up to take the picture.

Maybe I just need to drive it more to get the bar to drop. I have not driven it as much, this summer, due to the reduced range. I used to be able to go to the other end of town and back, at highway speeds, with range to spare. Now, I have to charge a half-hour to get home, and watch my speed.

baustin, have you done a Nissan battery check? I wonder if you could find a friendly tech who might give you some insight into the numbers they see behind the silly "star" ratings. Maybe Nissan won't even talk to you until that bar drops, but I wonder if a good LEAF tech could give you any insight into the true health of the battery as they see it. Just a thought.

I had the battery check and brake fluid replacement done in February. I don't know what data they see, or if they would share it. Since they don't officially recognize Leaf Spy data as useful for anything, I don't know that I would get very far telling them why I know it should have dropped by now. If it doesn't drop by next February, I will have to try a claim for defective battery due to greatly reduced range. I'm trying to drive it as much a possible, and have been plugging it in to charge as soon as I get home. As the range has collapsed, I've had to revert back to driving my diesel pickup for work, and the Leaf has not seen much action this summer.

Yay! Approximately where are you located? What's the build month on your car? (That's on the driver's side door sticker.)

"Car was built in April 2013 and I'm in Portland OR. It was originally sold in SoCal market and I bought it Certified Pre Owned in Dec 2016. I knew that It had reduced capacity of 3 bars , but I took a chance and bought it , hoping that it would lose the fourth bar before the battery warranty was up. Looks like it paid off. I'll take it into the Dealer tomorrow to get the process going.

Car is currently at dealer having the new battery pack installed. Here is a photo of the pack.

Fourth bar finally dropped on the way home after running some errands. Plugged it in to charge and then took a reading. Appointment to start warranty replacement scheduled for 17 October 2017.

The vehicle was manufactured in January 2013, spent it first two years in Georgia, was auctioned after lease return and brought to Las Vegas. I got it in March 2015. It dropped the first bar in October 2015, the second bar in June 2016, the third bar in November 2016, and the fourth bar in October 2017.
