I have a 2014-S, and I live in SE Alaska where winter temps are frequently in the single digits above, and below zero (Fahrenheit). I'll be keeping my LEAF parked outside overnight and I'm concerned about the battery getting too cold. If I'm not actively charging the battery, but plugged in, will the battery warmer kick in? I saw on another thread where someone installed a series of oil-pan heaters to warm the batteries independently of the main plug-in. This sounds like a great idea and I might attempt this next year, but just don't have the time to mess with it this season.

So how concerned should I be about temperature? Any tips you all might have are greatly appreciated.

Many thanks
