Here is the first 2018 purchase reported on MNL (that I'm aware of).

I saw that. What a letdown. Google "first 2018 nissan leaf delivery", and you will see articles about the first delivery in Europe, first delivery in the UK, but nothing for US. <sad trombone noise>. Anyway, still waiting for the first picture!

There appear to be two Leafs in stock in Colonie NY now, an SL with, and an SV without, the Tech Package. I'm going to see if I can drive the SL. I'm still faced with the choice of no Around View or a very-unwanted leather interior, so I won't be leasing anything yet.

Yesterday I ran LeafSpy on a 2018 LEAF at Continental Nissan in Countryside, IL. They said they'd already delivered one 2018, had this one for sale, and were expecting an SL next week.

Bat Sts: AHr=115.16 SOH=99.76% 395.54V
1N4AZ1CP7JC300813 Hx=97.66%
odo=?? [sic] 1 QC & 3 L1/L2s
min/avg/max=4.112 4.120 4.129 (17 mV)
Temp F=28.6 28.1 27.9 (0.7 )

I will probably have my own reading soon but if you get the chance, report the SOC at full charge along with kwh available GID =77.5wh

The above was from LeafSpy's first screen, with SOC=95.5%. LeafSpy's third screen said

95.4% SOC
37.7 kWh 109.86 Ah 395.43 V
669 Wh
28.4 F
119.7 miles -> LBW 4.0 miles/kWh
486 GIDS (97.2%)
4,250 W

LeafSpy's fourth screen said

485 GIDs 97.0%
395.2V x 10.83A =4.3kW SOC-> 95.4%
[Bar graph, apparently of current power consumption]
37.6 kWh Remain 669 Wh
[Temperature graphic] 119.5 Miles->LBW @4.0 mi/kWh

What does the "669 Wh" denote, energy in the 12V battery? 55 Ah at 12V seems plausible.

All observations were done using screenshots of LeafSpy Pro v1.6.28 on an iPhone, with the car Ready. The salesman and I never took it out of Park.

Some dealers in Toronto ON area have taken delivery of NFS units. I test drove a blue SL last Saturday. Was told they already delivered a couple of new Leafs for pre-orders from last year. More are arriving over the next couple of weeks. Dealer rep said an order now would get you delivery for April or maybe May.

However, with Nissan Corporate (not sure if that is just Nissan Canada or Nissan USA/North America) fiscal year end is March 31st so dealer rep said that possible an order now would get you delivery for end of March as they try to push as much out the door as possible. Not sure how they spun up the Tennessee plant and how many shifts, units planned to produce.

I ordered my blue SV on release day back in September from the London, Ontario dealership...

Still waiting for the dealership to call me... They said demo's in January and first deliveries in Feb...

Also have an e-golf ordered back in August... Waiting to see which comes first...

Hi, I'd like to chat about your e-Golf. Can you please PM me? Thanks, Ken

I saw a new LEAF at work a couple of days ago. I was rushing to an appointment, so I didn't have time to stop and look and I haven't seen it back. We have several of the old LEAFs here including mine. This was in the north Atlanta suburbs. I may go stroll around the parking lot and see if I see it.

One new owner review, from the Tesla forum.

At least where he/she is, it sounds like it's very good deals are available.

If you would have told me 2-3 days ago that we would be the owners of a new 2018 Leaf SV with ProPILOT Assist I would’ve called you crazy, but that’s exactly what just happened today. After finding an ad for a rather substantial discount on a brand new model and being extraordinarily skeptical, I went to the dealer expecting to waste a couple hours of my day and end up annoyed. There were 3 new Leaf’s on-site, but only one with ProPILOT Assist.... and now there are none! =). The negotiation wasn’t easy, but I’m very happy with the results.

I’ve only put ~20 miles on the car so far, but here are some initial thoughts:

-ProPILOT Assist is not quite Autopilot, but in a few ways I think it’s actually better...

-The “E-Pedal” is incredible...

-The car is very quiet, and the ride is super smooth...

-2 years ago we got a ridiculous deal for purchasing a new 2016 Leaf SV, and Nissan basically just gave us just as good of a deal on the trade-in value. The 22 months ownership for our 2016 Leaf SV total ended costing us less than $85/month after the tax credit, including taxes/registration. It’s just silly!...

I just went downstairs and it is there. It looks like an S (wheel covers) and the temporary tag expires March 27th. It was purchased from Nalley Nissan.

I took delivery of a brilliant silver SL here in northern NJ on February 10, 2018. I wanted a gun metallic SV with the technology package, but the only SVs they had in my area were SVs with the Weather Package. I figured I would go and test drive an SV and wait for the specific model I wanted to arrive later in the Spring. I wound up test driving an SL. I was impressed with the test drive. The dealer realized that I was adamant about the technology package, but asked if I would compromise on the color. When I said yes, he offered me brilliant Silver SL (Tech and Weather pkg) for $36,500. I thought about it for a bit and then signed on the dotted line.

It is my first time owning a Nissan. This Leaf will replace my 2007 Prius and will go alongside my 2017 Prius Prime.
