Maybe the better question then is who has gone the longest without losing a bar? If time is more of a factor than use.

It would be helpful to get everyone here to contribute their experience to the Plug In America Leaf owner survey.

https://survey.pluginamerica.org/leaf/survey.php

Getting more current data will allow us to continue studying important issues like battery longevity, how driving and charging practices affect battery performance, how climate impacts batteries and whether battery chemistry and design are improving.

By contributing to the survey and updating periodically, you'll be able to view your car's history and compare it to other vehicles in the survey via charts.

https://survey.pluginamerica.org/leaf/charts.php?vid=1

All of the survey data is publicly available (except for the personal info fields: name, email and VIN sequence number), so anyone can use the data set to study EV ownership.

The first two years + I had to QC in oly or tumwater on the way home. The last 1.5 years I’ve had an l2 at work.

I’ve eaten a lot at the little creek casino using their l2

Oly Nissan DCFC is operational again... At least for now. Used it last Saturday and last night so up for 5 days now approaching their all time record I think :roll:

Slight update from me. Mine just dropped below magical 90% mark, both, SOH and Hx (weather is hot, number does update, at last).
So... almost 4th birthday, 72 000 miles, 116 000km and 10% capacity. I expect I'll lose first bar at around... 100 000 miles.
Maybe at the end of next summer.
I expect SOH and Hx values to rise again in the fall when temps drop. They always do. Then they freeze for the whole winter :mrgreen:

Ideal battery temperature is UP TO 5 BARS. Anything higher than that accelerates everything. I have 6 bars for 2-3 months per year.

PS: even though numbers say I lost 10% of range, i don't feel that. It feels more like 5-8%. I can still do 110km trip on highway, 68 miles,
without recharge.

Well, it's not a club that I particularly wanted to join but it was inevitable...

Lost my first bar today. I've been expecting it for awhile, so I've been trying to remember to take a picture once a week. Here's the last one I took, while I still had 12 bars:

IMG_20180613_230609870_LL.jpg

Which was taken on June 9th.

Current Leaf Spy metrics:

SOH = 84.26%
AHr = 55.11
Odometer (Leaf Spy) = 66,673 miles

I can't really complain, but it still stings a bit...

Lost my first bar in the last few weeks.

29,600 Miles
5 years old nearly on the nose (assembled March 2013, purchased mid May 2013)
Chicago area, so temperate weather.

Looking at the graph, it looks like we are in the belly of the bell curve.

Just noticed the 1st bar drop a couple of days ago. 2017 SL model. Only have about 8800 miles and owned almost 1 year. This is way sooner then I expected. I have used QC less then 5 times and mostly using L2 charging. Should I be worried about this?

There's something very... high school about talking about the first time you lost something. My '15 S just dropped its first bar, just a smidge over 30k miles.

One thing about the poll that disappoints me is that we don't have any information about the model year of each vehicle, so for example, we can't glean whether the Lizard battery chemistry helps at all.

UPDATE: The second bar dropped off at 35k. SOH is down to 80.1% per Leaf Spy Pro.

Yes, should collect information on the year of the vehicle. Also silly to not gather information on how far a Leaf has gone without losing a bar. Otherwise you leave out a substantial portion of currently availale information.

Well we finally lost the first one, we had been hovering in the 86 to 87 for an SOH via Leaf Spy all summer, but today it was gone.

2013 S trim with 72,409 miles. I can't complain, but it was weird to see it not there.

My 2013 just lost its first bar at 27500. I am at 85% SOH and will be going to the shop to see why it has started popping the 15 amp breaker. I have had the car for over a year now and is the only thing on the circuit,

Have you considered finding another EV driver in your area who'd consent to trying to charge their car on your EVSE? It could be excessive heating in the breaker (a lot of them are thermal) making it trip at lower currents. This would help you get some confidence that it wasn't something like a shorted diode in your car's on-board charger..
