2013 LEAF: Icon Display meaning ?

My wife usually drives our LEAF, so my notice of a yellow car icon I did not remember in the display may be nothing new. I'm referring to #11 in this photo:



The user manual says it means 'ready to drive' which is reassuring. My confusion is the color: the manual seems to show green while the icon in my car is yellow. I was unable to find any mention of a yellow icon in the manual. My first thought was that an LED had died and changed the icon color but I don't think that makes sense if I understand LED colors correctly (that green is not a mixture of colors.)

It is green, but not as dark, bright green as the manual image you posted. It looks yellow under some lighting conditions. Try turning off the traction/stability control to cause the associated amber icon to be on. That will show you the difference between the ready light which they call green and the yellow traction warning light.

I usually refer to the icon as "yellow-green."
