My wife uses Nissan Connect Services and her iPhone every morning in the winter to start the climate control in her 2020 SV Plus

I heard that and have to wonder why the engineer (now sadly dead) isn't at fault since he didn't have his hands on the steering wheel. I am assuming that if he had he could have avoided the crash the self driving software caused because it would have let him override it's "desires".

They charge PHEVs MORE when they are very likely paying road tax on fuel for some quantity, maybe a LOT, of the miles/kilometers they drive??

And a weight calculation. A Hummer EV will do a lot more damage than a little MiEV. Of course it gets messy with a plug in hybrid, no way to know how many miles were electric and how many on gas where the fuel tax was paid.

Understandable. I gather you don't have your own charger at your house. Or is it a gated apartment complex? I don't have much knowledge of gated communities other than seeing them with large single homes with garages.

May I ask why? My wife drives her 2020 SV Plus 70 miles minimum 7 days a week and charges every night. It isn't hard, just pop the lid and plug in. Car charges starting at 9 PM when our special EV charging rates ($0.04 less than regular rate) starts.

The app would not connect to the car this morning, 6 attempts. Sadly not uncommon. So no preheating for the trip to the dealer. It took nearly 4 hours to replace the condenser. I paid only the $100 deductible.
