Severe performance hit when replacing 1/4 OEM tires

The rolling resistance will improve somewhat after the tires have accumulated some miles. That being said, LRR tires are significantly more efficient than the mainstream.

    Should I buy a 73k mile 2018 SL?

The other big thing it has is active battery cooling, like the Volt and just about every other non-LEAF.

    100 kW Charging

The air conditioner has no way to cool the battery pack. The battery cells are sealed in a big metal can underneath the car. As far as I know, the LEAF is the only currently marketed EV that does not have active battery temperature management. That is its Achilles Heel.

Just got my 2017 leaf. I think it's only 9 bars?

I bought a 2017 last August and it had all 12 bars, but 86% SOH, so it's on the verge of 11 bars. Do you know where (what climate) the car was operated in (say, from Carfax)?

Best Cheap 120 Volt Travel EVSE?

Actually shift-length (multiple hour) charging is an ideal case for 120V charging, in that it can be provided more cheaply and there isn't an hour-by-hour scramble to get charged vehicles out of the way of needy ones. I've tried for years to get 120V availability at work with no luck.

Best Cheap 120 Volt Travel EVSE?

I'm not saying that you're going to die. Your vehicle's charging interface conforms to SAE J1772. I don't believe the EVSE can be sold as SAE J1772-compliant with the cord arrangement that you describe. Most portable EVSE's are moderately weather-proof and can be used in your sort of...

Best Cheap 120 Volt Travel EVSE?

I'm thinking that such a thing is unlikely. The purpose of the EVSE connector configuration is to protect the user from risk of shock, even in adverse ambient conditions. By configuring such a device to require an exposed extension cord connection eliminates that protection.

2013 Nissan Leaf SV (battery replaced in 2018)

Probably Coulis Red (like the raspberry puree on your dessert selection).

    First cold weather "near-fail" experience

I think I've seen a picture of such apparatus, but the current reality is that it's bound to be quicker and cheaper for them to pull your vehicle onto a roll-back truck and transport it home or to a charging station.

Latest from Consmer Reports April 2020

I drive one of those bargains. I picked up my '17 SV with (barely) 12 bars for less than $13k last August.

I agree--no real competition that I've seen. Also, while DC quick charge is gradually gaining stations, it's typically only one or two connectors per location, sometimes taking that location down with a single point failure. Nothing close to what the Tesla network can offer.

    Conflicting Timers

In the months since my earlier posting, I've been doing a little mental math each afternoon to figure out how to set the start of charge time for the desired end percentage. This has been enough of a hassle that I've decided to resume the end time only setting, 2+ hrs after my anticipated...
