How not to treat your customers Nissan.

So today I picked it up from the body shop. Its still missing the metal bracket part that is behind the plastic of the front charge port. So in the mean time the body shop got the old one and straighten it up for temporary use. Also the second part that we are still waiting from nissan are the...

How not to treat your customers Nissan.

Well I must say. thank you all for the advice. It has been really helpful. I feel like i got a better support here than from Nissan's headquarters. What I will probably do tomorrow is call the body shop and see if they can agree to install the parts on the vehicle once they come sometime this...

How not to treat your customers Nissan.

The problem with the spare parts from junk yards is that there arent many leafs up here. If I was in california or any of the other EV friendly states, i would have had the vehicle on the road by now. As for driving without the chargeport cover, the body shop will end up charging me 2x the...

How not to treat your customers Nissan.

They just started selling the 2013 models in Canada in August. I got one of the first ones to come in. The 2013 models is also the one that I was waiting for all this time. Its a Canadian leaf but it doesnt mean that it should be that hard to get parts from the states in cases like this. Its...

How not to treat your customers Nissan.

The insurance was covering me initially for a loaner. Nissan just gave me a loner in week 6. The vehicle is perfectly repairable but lack of customer support and not being able to purchase parts for the car that they are working soo hard at selling and promoting is what makes this whole scenario...

How not to treat your customers Nissan.

Dear fellow electric car enthusiasts. Before you continue reading I just wanted to apologise for the length of this initial post but I believe that I wanted to include a clear picture of what I am currently going through and have been going through for the past 6 weeks and wish that none of you...

HOW TO: Daytime Running Lights (DRL) installed for $35

Good news. Just compared them both and they are the same in the documentation... the only small difference is in the 2012 manual it says when the power is on then the output is "6V-16V" where as in the 2013 manual they changed it to "Battery Voltage" Also it looks like pin 58 can also be used...

HOW TO: Daytime Running Lights (DRL) installed for $35

That was my plan as well. I just took a look in the service manual and by the looks of the layout they look the same except the 2013 has 1 more slot with a 10A fuse where as 2012 and bellow were empty but thats not related to this topic. What section did u get the signal name that its running...

HOW TO: Daytime Running Lights (DRL) installed for $35

I have to say. This thread shows some amazing work that all of you have done. I have one problem and a question. I'm north of the boarder. I want to get a 2013 leaf from the states and bring it across the boarder and drl is a must here. Do the 2013's have the same pins and wires as the 2011...

    Nissan Leaf replacement battery cost

Just had a small question. Back in the town hall meeting it was mentioned that Nissan will release replacement battery cost for individuals that want to purchase modules for replacement in April this year. Have those prices been released or is it one of those things that will be released on...

    2013 leaf driver's seat question

Great thanks for the quick response LEAFfan. I guess I should keep my eyes open better when fiddling with the seat :P I think the lever is a much better way of implementing seat height adjustment and am glad that Nissan went in that direction. Thanks again.

    2013 leaf driver's seat question

Hi everyone. I haven't seen a 2013 leaf in person so i wanted to ask those of you who have it or who have seen one. Does the driver's seat on the 2013 have the same adjustments as the 2011 and 2012 models? I saw a video and as the person moved around i noticed something that looked like a...

What upgrade package to go for?

Wow i didnt know the difference was that small for the headlights. The sound system is the only thing that I like to have sound nice in the vehicle. It makes long drives more relaxed so i think i might end up going for the Bose and camera feature and avoid the LED headlights and QC. I know...

What upgrade package to go for?

Thanks for the response. Let me get this straight. The led package doesn't have LEDs for high beams and regular headlights? And also when you say low beams you don't reffer to daylight running lights correct? Sorry for the stupid question I'm not that good with the terminology. Cheers.
