At least in my area (Northern Virginia), there have been a ton of CHaDEMO chargers added in the last 7 months. Almost all the local Nissan dealers have upgraded to L3. This has really helped the usability of my Leaf when making longer trips.

My 2015 preheat timer uses the EVSE correctly, I can hear it turn on. I also use the charge timer so I don't understand the issues with this.
The steering wheel temp cycling does seem extreme, but I am used to it now. Some spots are cooler so when it gets too hot I just shift my hands.
Preheat while plugged into L1 drains your battery.
Also why are you heating to 90F?
Mine is garage kept and temp bars never less than 3, even sitting all day outside at work with temps around 5F.
Normal commute is 40 miles, when really cold I use 8 bars with the heat on set to 66. Cabin Heat...
Got QC on my new 2015SV and use it way more than I thought I would. Of course two years free charging that Nissan includes now really helps with that. It makes longer trips possible, and sometimes I just charge for 10-15 minutes to get enough to make it home.
