just got my model 3 last week. I love it. It's got temp tags until my old (3067EL) tags get transferred. After 75,000 miles I'm going to miss my sweet Leaf, I've enjoyed driving it all those years.

I traded in my vanity plates and just got 3067EL in the mail today. Had to get new tires around 39k. (lead foot) Still have all capacity bars after 3.5 yrs and 42k miles. (hope I didn't jinx myself)

Saw a Tesla S with 603EL today in the southwest burbs. I still like my EN plates (see signature) they get a lot of compliments

I've only had the low battery warning a few times. I've never had very low or turtle mode. A new battery is supposedly 21kWh with 20 being usable. So I think you can increase your numbers from 12-16 to 16-20 for a new battery. Or maybe 15-19 would be safer. But when it's cold you lose...

You’re probably right, I bet they haven’t worked on these cars much yet. I hope you took it back to the dealer. If the same cell is the problem, it could be something in the regulator for that cell instead of the cell itself. I hope it’s not a new problem.

Finally saw a LEAF in the wild at 7am this morning. Going east while I was going west on 95th St near Roberts Rd. It was silver but I didn’t see what kind of plates it had.

Just jumped a Caddy with a dead battery. Funny, he's about the only person who didn't ask me 'what do you do if the battery runs out?' but don't try this at home folks "LEAF cannot be used as a booster vehicle because it cannot supply enough power to start a gasoline engine."

I'm showing about 25-30% drop in efficiency from summer to winter. edit; That's just wall to wheel efficiency. I guess you would have to add battery capacity loss at lower temps. I haven't collected any capacity/range data

Not bad, nice job. I think any publicity is good. I’ll bet the lady considering buying a scooter (somehow I can’t see her really buying a scooter) didn’t even know an electric car could be an option. The video had the $3/100mi comment but unfortunately that wasn’t on the 6 o’clock showing I saw.

OMG, another generally positive EV report from Fox News

My (vague) point is if it’s relatively clean and cheap it should be burned in power plants for electric cars. My guess is that he added load on the grid from electric cars will be made up largely with natural gas. Although I might be wrong again

I need an under 20KW DC ChaDeMo Quick Charger

As the charging demand goes up how will we charge multiple cars at a time? 10-20 cars at a highway oasis at peak demand time. I think a flywheel would make a good buffer. Dig up the gas tanks and bury the flywheels.
