    Bargains on 2023 Leafs

Our local dealer still has its *one* new in-stock SV+ (likely the same one I test drove when just starting to shop for EVs) marked at $37,610, which is explained as MSRP minus a $1000 factory incentive. No doubt it will be sitting unsold for the foreseeable future.

E-pedal mode turns off automatically after recall fix

That doesn't sound right. I wonder if "retain mode" for the epedal just got inadvertently switched off during the upgrade.

    ZE1 SL+ (2021)

My Leaf happens to be identical to yours (year, trim level, color) and I'm loving it so far. Don't know my exact battery SOH, haven't got leafspy set up yet and guess I'm not in a hurry for that, having already made the purchase. Congrats and I hope you continue to enjoy it a long time.

    Greetings from CHAdeMO NA

Does the Association have an interest in, or position on, the various new adaptors for sale and/or under development to allow Leaf quick charging from CCS and possibly NACS? I've wondered if any of these developers doing it "right" with regard to protocol, safety, CHAdeMO licensing where...

    Can I use a level2 charger (e.g 2019 leaf) to charge on a 120 outlet?

This is the first I've heard electrical code mentioned, but it makes sense with regard to your "that one item only" observation. My first Leaf was missing that adaptor piece, and lacking a 240v supply at the time, I was able to substitute one of the EV-designated adaptors available on Amazon...

    New Member hi to all

I like how that makes it sound like you belong to the car. :) Welcome.

    Can I use a level2 charger (e.g 2019 leaf) to charge on a 120 outlet?

Those taking issue with "AFAIK there is nothing special about an EV vs other type of adapter for this that I know of" are right to do so. I'm pleased that your gadget is working for you, and you haven't yet burned down your house or injured yourself. But it doesn't mean people can grab something...

    My first road trip

Excellent questions, and while I don't have definitive answers, I'd say night driving has insignificant impact. These seem to affect range adversely, Cold/freezing temperatures Consistent head winds Wet or slushy pavement Freeway speeds The eastbound half of my trip was a sort of worst-case...

A thread for people happy with their Leaf

A little over a month after buying a used SL Plus I have to say, it sometimes seems like they designed this thing just for me. I like how everything is laid out, the energy efficiency, the excellent road visibility (compared to my old Honda CR-Z at least), the 360 degree composite camera view...

    My first road trip

Oh, lots, I pretty much stopped at all stations I knew of along the way. Not the fastest plan but I wasn't in a hurry. I hadn't heard the term "rapidgate" before you mentioned it, just looked it up. Yeah I'd noticed the battery temp getting kinda high, and the last couple of charges weren't as...

    My first road trip

Thinking about perspectives here ... well, I can say I just drove almost 1400 miles through crummy weather including heavy snow, in a CHAdeMO vehicle, and despite frustrations, never managed to get stranded. So, Donner you say? Nay, not even Comet or Blitzen. I don't feel discouraged. The last...

    My first road trip

Even though the wife and I agreed our Leaf would be for use within a certain radius from home only, reserving her RAV4 hybrid for road trips, I couldn't resist trying extended driving once. The trip was from the Des Moines area to Grand Rapids to visit my brother. A number of factors came up...

    Buying a 2019 SL Plus

Congratulations on the purchase @RogerRDalTx and welcome to the forum. In your place I'd skip the extended warranty too. I'm sure you will love the Leaf. If you don't, be sure to take advantage of Carvana's 7-day return/exchange window; don't be shy about it. I recently bought my Leaf through...

    Drafting trucks on the highway…

Sure, it's fun and efficient to ride the air currents. My guideline is mostly to try to put myself in the head of the other driver. If I feel like they're probably aware of me, then I'll either increase the distance or find a different rhino to run behind. I like to use big SUVs more often than...

    goodness sakes, those brakes

Earlier today I was out on a paved two-lane road with the cruise set around 50mph and cresting a hill when a family of deer appeared on the right shoulder about to cross in front of me. I hit the brakes hard; they looked up, two turned back toward the woods but the third and largest hopped...
