24 kWh Battery replacement cost back down to $5500

They of course gave it. Parts are $4777=$5500-$1000+conversion kit.

    The 12V battery charging algorithms

Yeah, it started happening right after swapping old battery. For a brand new one though. Leaf 2012. It's back at the dealer for troubleshooting. Funny part was how at some point I decided to disconnect 12V battery to stop wasting charge, and it just continued to run inverter and the pump...

    The 12V battery charging algorithms

Speaking of 12V battery charging, I have a problem... Driver side blue light flashes all the time. According to the manual it could be either due to Climate Control Timer, HV Battery Heater or 12V Battery Charging. It appears to be the latter one because there are no timers configured, it's not...

First Capacity Bar Loss And What To Expect

You're thinking wrong because the first bar covers the highest drop in SOH percentage (15%). All following bars will start disappearing faster (each one for 6.5%).

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

That seems to be on par with the original chemistry. IDK then why Lizard batteries are considered an improvement. In our Leaf we lost 44% of capacity over 7 years.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Thanks. Dealers in NJ are a joke. Require 100% prepayment for the battery, and don't even know how to order it. I wonder what's gonna happen when they actually get to working on it.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Do you have a similar graph for the original battery?

OpenEVSE - Open Source Charging Station

He meant to say that if charging current was DC, a ground leak would create a disbalance that would either give positive or negative spike on the coil's wires, and the polarity would matter. But given that charging current is AC, if a leak is present you'll see a series of...

OpenEVSE - Open Source Charging Station

So...You have two repositories? Is code.google.com/p/open-evse the official site of the project, or is there another one? I like this piece, it's awesome:

OpenEVSE - Open Source Charging Station

Chris, you missed condition for amps=51 in SetPWM(). Also, if you drop floats you may save yourself a few KB of code. int J1772Pilot::SetPWM(uint16_t amps) { uint16_t duty=0; // duty cycle in % times 10 if ((amps >= 6) && (amps <= 51)) duty=amps*100/6; else if ((amps > 51) && (amps < 80))...

Thanks for the link to GFCI schematics. Do notice however that they don't ground "+" in there. Both "+" and "-" float, and even if one of the CT's ends is meant to be grounded, they may imply that a dual PS is to be used (and then the about-ground signal will be right in the middle of opamp...

OpenEVSE - Open Source Charging Station

I noticed that in the through-the-hole layout there is a JFET LF353 instead of LM358, and thought at first that "-" at GND or below would work, but then found this in the datasheet: "However, neither of the input voltages should be allowed to exceed the negative supply as this will cause large...

OpenEVSE - Open Source Charging Station

Hi, I have a few question regarding GFCI schematics... I apologize if they sound dumb, but please explain this to me... I'll use v2 for notations, but the schematics is the same in v6 except that the opamp isn't labeled. It seems that it's an inverting amplifier/level holder followed up by a...
