As an Oklahoman, the Francis Energy network seemed to come out of nowhere. But it's amazing. You can't really drive more than 50 miles on the highway without running into a Francis Energy charger. And they are usually working. In my experience, more reliable than the Electrify America stations...
Not a tax accountant, but it has never been titled, so there would be no technical reason the IRS would deny the claim. It was sold at auction by the manufacturer (Nissan), meaning it was used as a demo or show car, or maybe used by exec on campus (but never sold to anyone or given to an owner)...
I almost bought a Leaf from Walser in Minnesota a while back. They were great to deal with, and actually knew stuff about Leafs which was great. I ended up going a different route, but it was close. Price they are offering now for the SL+ is about 2k better than when I purchased a year ago.

I've wondered something similar. Partly since the first battery bar doesn't drop until ~85%, then future drops are at ~5% intervals, it seems like Nissan doesn't consider that first 10% to be "real" degradation.
Has anyone seen any OTA software updates or map updates for a 2019 or 2020 Leaf+?
The Nissan website says that map updates are available every quarter, but, I've checked several times while connected to WiFi, and haven't seen a map update yet. Previous Mazda had regular map updates every 6...
Yes, you can check the battery health on the 2018 and up models. You just need to use the steering wheel controls to cycle through various screens on the dash (when the car is on) until you get to the "Battery Capacity" screen.
To get to that screen, use the left and right arrow keys on the...
There's so many factors in range, but even at 80mph on the highway with the AC on, I'm sure you'd be able to make a round trip of 90 miles.
At 70mph, I can get about 180 miles in summer (same model, 2019 SL+). At 40-50mph (city driving), I can get 230 easily. Chargeway app predicts you'd get...
The battery temp is still there. If you scroll down through the info on the driver cluster screen, one of the pages shows battery temp, another shows capacity.
Can anyone with a 2018 Leaf and an iOS device confirm if this is possible: When connected via Bluetooth, playing music from Apple Music, can you browse your music through the car infotainment?
I.e. when you click the BT Menu button from the now playing screen, do you see a list of playlists...
What trim level do you have? It sounds like you have the rear view camera, but not the around view camera. On models without around view, that’s all the camera button does.
Thanks. Yep you're about spot on with the pricing. I almost went for a new one because there was a 2016 SV advertised at $25,000 somewhat near me, and after adding in the tax credit that seemed like a really great deal.
But in the end I wasn't 100% sure if going all electric would work long...
Good to know...but the previous user said after a few hours? Is that really a danger, or are we talking about a period of at least a week before its a problem?
...and so far I love it! :D
It's an off-lease model from California with 23k miles on it. Only an S, but it has the Quick Charge upgrade, and also the backup camera. All 12 capacity bars still, and so far range is running about 80-90 miles or so in eco mode, with AC running. Picked it up for...
