Here is what I am charging the Volt with now. Will this work on the "S" model and what will the charge time be roughly?

Thanks. So did all of the 2012 models have the 3.6 kW chargers? The reason I ask is I was looking at a 2012 SL and a salesperson at the dealership told me to get the 2013 because it charges in half the time. I have a Volt now and I would use my Volt 220 volt EVSE to charge it.
Looking to lease or purchase but need to understand my charging options on the fifferent Leaf models or add options. From what I think I understand:
(S) comes with a 3.6 kW onboard charger good only for charging 120 volts (about 8 - 10 Hrs for full charge)
You can upgrade to a 6.6 kW...
I was told by the sales person that it was not registered to a customer before so as far as a bank loan is concerned it might be eligable for a new car loan. Who knows maybe the dealership purchased it for the tax credit? They have two of these vehicles there. They have a blue one also.
Thanks. I'm trying to decide which is the best for me. I have a Chevrolet Volt now with a 220 Volt level 2 charger in my garage now. I could use that charger for the Leaf also. What is the SOC/GID meter that you mentioned?
For the Leaf S I was just quoted $190 per month for a 2 year lease of 12,000 miles and $1,200 down which includes first month payment and taxes. He said the buy out after 2 years would be $17,593.
Is this a good deal? I never leased before?
Is this a good deal? I'm thinking about purchasing this 2012 SL but there won't be any $7,500 tax credit because it was a dealer demo. or would I be better off purchasing 2013 S model? for $29,000 and wait until tax credit next year? More options on the SL though. But someone told me the 2013's...
Thanks for all the posts and your info!!! You really made me look at this in many different ways which is very helpful. I'm going to talk to the sales person today again. Thanks again.
Here is what it would cost me to drive Nissan Leaf for 12,000 miles in one year Vs putting gas in my truck:
Cost of lease @ $190 per month = $2,280.00
$1,200 up front at signing divided by 2 = $ 600.00
$600 for insurance for 1 year = $ 600.00...
I'm sorry I just updated my profile to include my location. I live in Hagaman NY which is located in upstate NY. To answer some of the questions: I just sold a 2008 Corvette that I purchased new and had for 5 years. So I had 3 vehicles all along just didn't drive the Vette in the winter. I...
