Battery capacity indicator has just started to drop. Should I be concerned?

No :poop:! The wording of the error message suggests that maybe Leaf Spy Lite simply needs to be recompiled and re-uploaded: it was last updated in 2019, while Leaf Spy Pro was last updated only a few months ago. At any rate, knowing that both your own experience and the Google Play Store tell...

Battery capacity indicator has just started to drop. Should I be concerned?

Hmm. In the Google Play Store app on my Chromebook, LeafSpy Pro shows a purchase button, but LeafSpy Lite shows an incompatibility error message.

    Leaf Spy Lite

In the Google Play Store App on my Chromebook (a Lenovo IdeaPad 3), LeafSpy Lite gives a message of "This app isn't available for your device because it was made for an older version of Android." By contrast, LeafSpy Pro shows a purchase button, and no such message. If I look at it on the...

    Spare Tire?

EZ Spare still appears to be in business; they have a modular system that can be used to make a donut for nearly any 4- or 5-lug hub out there, and any wheel size. That's where I got my donut. As I recall, I got my jack on Amazon, along with a set of 4 wheel chocks, and a package of tool clips...

Battery capacity indicator has just started to drop. Should I be concerned?

Thanks. It might be worth a try. Specifics on the adapter? Model? Where to buy? Anybody here know what OBDII adapters are known to work with LeafSpy, and which ones (if any) are known not to work?

What Do You Wish Your Leaf Had?

Interesting idea, given that (with that space more-or-less unusable at least in the US-market Leaf) my EZ-Spare donut hangs on a rack in the trunk.

What Do You Wish Your Leaf Had?

I wish the display panel that comes up at power-down was the mileage/efficiency history bar-graph, rather than the estimated time to full charge (a panel for which I've never had any practical use, given that I only use public charging stations if there's a reasonable danger of "turtling" the...

Battery capacity indicator has just started to drop. Should I be concerned?

Thanks, Jeff. I've printed out a hardcopy of the numbers, which will be inserted in my Owner's Manual at my earliest convenience. Which doesn't change the fact that I will (assuming it doesn't slip my mind) request a more detailed capacity report when I take Millie in for PM. Nor does it change...

Battery capacity indicator has just started to drop. Should I be concerned?

The only Android tablet I've ever owned was a cheap-🫏 model that slowly degraded from mildly dysfunctional to completely afunctional. I've since replaced it with a Chromebook. Which, thankfully, will run the MFA mobile apps that I need for work. As well as such Linux apps as LibreOffice...

Battery capacity indicator has just started to drop. Should I be concerned?

The tick-marks look pretty evenly spaced on "Millie." At any rate, when she goes in for her PM this year, I'll try and remember to specifically ask for the exact number on capacity. At any rate, isn't LeafSpy a smartphone app? I don't have a full-on smartphone, and refuse to own (much less...

Battery capacity indicator has just started to drop. Should I be concerned?

61207 miles, all in Southern California. If she's ever been plugged into a level-3 charger, or turtled, it was before my time. And given that the dealer has once again started to bug me about bringing her in for PM, it might not be that long before I get an actual number for battery capacity.

Battery capacity indicator has just started to drop. Should I be concerned?

The battery capacity indicator on Millie, my 2018 Leaf, has dropped from 12 to 11. Is that reasonable and expected for a Leaf that's approximately 5 years old, and in my hands for over 3 years?

    Speedometer calibration ?

I've noticed the same thing with my 2018. I had it looked into when I took it in for the recent safety recall software update. The tech told my service writer (whom I've known since he was in diapers) to feel free to research it further for me, but this thread pretty much settles it: my GPS...

    The end of the LEAF

It doesn't matter all that much to me: I kept my 1978 Datsun 510 ("Arabella," after the yellow Model A Ford from Nanny and the Professor) for 20 years, until she gave her metallic little life for me. And I kept the 1998 Toyota Camry that replaced her for another 20 years, until it was a sagging...

Comparison: Why I Chose a Nissan Leaf Plus over a Tesla Model 3

Another point in favor of the Leaf: It's NOT a snob-appeal vehicle. And it doesn't make Elon Musk any richer than he already is. Unlike the Tesla, it's an electric vehicle for the common folk.
