If the gfci outlet is not grounded, then the evse will not work. Be sure to check for ground and reversed hot and neutral wires. If either of these are the case, then it would be best to have a licensed electrician inspect the wireing and make repairs.
I had some thing similar happen in my Saturn. The floor mat had slipped up behind the pedals to a joint in the steering shaft. Nearly every time I turned the wheel it would flick the mat. I brought it in to the shop twice insisting that the wheelbearing was bad. Then they found the problem...
Some things to consider for a safer more comfortable ride:
Range will drop in cold weather and snow -this is normal
Charge to 100%
Preheat with the EVSE still connected
Drive with the heat set to low/~60 The power consumption should drop after a few minutes
Use Eco to extend your range (this...
An improper house or outlet ground (loop between neutral and ground) could cause this problem. This would happen with any grounded device in that outlet. Also, please update/complete your profile. Some of us are suspicious of first time posters with significant safety issues. :)
Based on the situation that you describe I would do the following.
1. If you don't typically charge to 100%, then I would do so a few days before storing the car. This will allow some cell equalization to occur.
2. When ready to store the car I would discharge the battery pack to ~50% (~6...
Sounds like you have a poor ground in your garage outlet. Try another outlet. This thread may help... http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=4038" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Three chargers that are not working for you may not be the chargers.
I see my error. The Volt sales numbers and quote are from the GM press release. I would expect them to be biased.
Okay disregard the the first part. I will stick with the second part... "I am pointing out the fact that the percentage of sales declined the same. If you think about this it...
??? I was only referencing the numbers you posted. I guess I could have been clearer.
I feel the author of the story is biased. Look at the two quotes. The one for the Volt defends the low numbers and uses the word "strong". The LEAF quote takes a swipe by using the word "just". The link to...
I think a more honest headline would be something like... Volt and LEAF monthly sales decline 36%. If you run the numbers Volt sales dropped slightly more.
