    2016 SOH versus miles

See Google Photos link to another set of datapoints of a 2016 SV (leased August 2016, lease expires August 2019) SOH% vs. mileage. Sorry I wasn't clever enough to insert an image directly into the forum. The jump up was the software patch. The car was in Kansas City (think hot summers) until...

    LEAF in Kansas City

For those who didn't learn about it on our KC EV Facebook Group, there's an EV outing to Jowler Creek Winery north of the MCI airport in Platte City this Saturday, April 22, 2017 for Earth Day: "Earth Day Festival at Missouri's First Green Winery April 22, 2017; 2:00-9:00 pm Celebrate Earth Day...

I haven't seen you much lately, Eric. We must be missing each other at the Gladstone Hy-Vee. Like cdherman, we upgraded to a 30 kWh SV (Silver, still "UBY GAS" plate) and it's my wife's daily driver. The extra range as well as a new battery have helped her feel more comfortable with range and...

    LEAF in Kansas City

Congrats (assuming you've pulled the trigger)! Sounds like many of us are going the same route. I leased my 2016 SV from Joe Machens in Columbia, MO for $322 per month including tax, $0 down, 36 months. This is my first lease ever, but I figure if I like the car well enough or rack up too...

$322 per month including tax for 36 months with $0 down. So overall lease payments = $11,592. Buyout just under $11,000. I probably could have gotten better if I had waited, but I was ready to jump. BTW, I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the 100+ mile range, 6.6 KW charger, increased trunk...

    LEAF in Kansas City

I just took the leap and sold my 2012 SL with 80% SOH per LEAF Spy and leased a 2016 SV with 30 kWh. EPA says 107 miles range, Dean West says 100+ real world range, and after a full day of running errands, the new and bigger battery makes a huge difference. The only bummer is that the new...

If you need me to read any prospective LEAF with LEAF Spy to get the current battery health, let me know. We would need the seller's approval and I can send you a screen shot. Does one have to pay personal property tax on leased vehicles? I mean, you don't own it, so it's not property, right...

The lease I'm looking at is $322 per month for 36 months, so $11,592 total payments. Yes, I will need to watch mileage and condition, but I'm guessing Nissan will be making attractive buyout offers as they have in the past. Karl

Consider a lease of a 2016 SV or SL with 30 kWh battery. In 3 years, the landscape will have changed and then you can decide whether it's worth the residual or turn it in and see what else is our there. Hint: Look at dealers outside of our area. Karl

Agreed with Dr. H. You can make it work with the workplace charging, but 65 in one shot will not work long-term on the 24 kWh battery. My 2012 SL will do 55 miles with partial highway driving in summer and 45 miles in winter. We went to St. Joe's from the Northlands (about 50 miles) on 169...

Well, I went ahead and created the group anyway. If it bombs, I'll just remove it. Worth a try. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1717817545101518/ Karl

    LEAF in Kansas City

Any interest in a KC-only EV or even just LEAF Facebook group? I feel like the MNL forum isn't particularly friendly towards posting and sharing. Also, the notifications don't always appear to work particularly well. FWIW, I am seeing more LEAFs and Volts out and about. Here's a picture of a...

    2016 Lease deals

Just spotted another that appears to be $211 lease payments with similar downpayment, but there may be other fees/taxes. I didn't get a quote for this one, just have the web page reference: https://www.hendricknissan.com/new/Nissan/2016-Nissan-LEAF-kansas-city-adcb6e410a0e0a6b1d31b36e510ee2c4.htm

    2016 Lease deals

Thanks for the feedback. I asked them to quote me the no-trade lease deal under the scenario that I have found a buyer for my car, but I probably won't get that until tomorrow.
