    NMAC charging $900 for EVSE

There's a "Contact us" section with phone numbers and addresses. As I mentioned earlier, it's extremely difficult to talk to someone at NMAC. I'm mailing in letter to one of the addresses. Let's see what happens.

    NMAC charging $900 for EVSE

How did you dispute the online statement? I don't see any option to dispute a charge. The only options are: - End of Lease Experience - Inspection results - Liability Statement - Pay Liability - End of Lease FAQ (which conveniently does not have any question related to disputes)

    NMAC charging $900 for EVSE

I got my 2013 Leaf inspected prior to end of lease. The inspection was at my work place and I had forgotten the EVSE at home. The inspector put down about $850 as missing equipment but said if I put the EVSE back upon return to dealer, they will remove the charge. Well, when I went to the...

Solo hybrid drivers in Ca. HOV lanes amplify congestion

I don't think BEVs, or even Volt-like "EVs" are the problem. I think the real problem is solo ICE drivers violating HOV rules.

Range and Battery Degradation Survey. Please enter your data

There has been some misunderstanding about what I am attempting here, so I thought I should clarify. This is essentially statistics 101, but in the context of Leaf's range. The numbers below are purely for illustrative purposes - don't take them seriously. I used the data in this thread for...

    Post Your Battery Degradation Results

Well, then how do you predict GID as a function of total miles and other factors? Remember, I am not interested in my range today - I already know that. I am interested in what my range will look like, say 30K miles from now. Measuring GID does not do that. Instead, if we have a sufficiently...

    3 rd bar loss

Thanks for sharing. What range do you typically get on a full-charge with 3-bar loss?

    Tuning the Battery Aging Model

Curious - why does the Miles Per KWH change from summer to winter? I thought this metric was independent of the battery state. Is it due to heating/cooling?

Range and Battery Degradation Survey. Please enter your data

Close, but it doesn't have the information I am looking for - a way to estimate range on a full charge as a function of odometer reading and other conditions. It does have responses for "how do you feel range has change", and "typical round-trip distance", but I am looking for more precise data.

Range and Battery Degradation Survey. Please enter your data

Hello, I am doing a survey of how the driving range and battery capacity of the Nissan Leaf varies over time. Please help out by entering data about one of your trips in your Leaf. All data is available from the dashboard for 2013 and newer models (2011 owners can enter 0 for SOC). I will do a...

    Post Your Battery Degradation Results

No need to speculate - just report what you see. I believe this problem lends itself well to some statistical analysis. I can think of a number of a number of independent variables - battery age (in miles), average speed, top speed, average summer temperature, beginning and ending SOC. The...

    Post Your Battery Degradation Results

Folks, Would it be possible to post your maximum observed range, along with your other stats? The other numbers are interesting, but at end of day what matters is whether the car will be usable a few years down the line. I am especially interested in hearing from people with 50K+ miles.

    Range Chart

My speed is mostly constant. Out of about 80 minute roundtrip drive, the maximum speed is 65 mph for about 10 mins at most. Remaining is mostly 25 to 30 mph. Typical Bay Area freeway speeds during commute hours in carpool lane.

    Range Chart

The speed variation may explain some of the difference. I was using the 1 year/10K degraded battery chart so the battery degradation should've been factored in. Anyway, the reality is that trip planning is usually done using the GOM. So if my GOM shows 20 miles remaining, I wouldn't make a 30...

    Range Chart

Long time lurker, posting for first time. First off, I'd like to mention that this is a fantastic forum. It's always good to hear about experiences of other leaf drivers. Some day there will be a cheap 300 mile battery and all this will be irrelevant, but till then.. I compared my mileage to...
