Dan,
Looks like you tried to charge there and it didn't work. Someone right after you got 86 kW though. ;)
Caltrans chargers on the Grapevine are back up. Three of four are now operating. We need those Caltrans stations.
Yeah, Kernville, and Ridgecrest proper would be good places for a 50 kW...
Guy,
Our Bolt is Oasis Blue and I did leave it overnight by accident at the park. But I also do put a placard in the windshield that says it's ok to unplug. Funny, I've practically stopped doing it now. So many chargers now doesn't seem much point in it.
Not read though. :)

Thanks Guy for keeping an eye on EA's plan. A station in Lone Pine would be very helpful for people coming from and going to Death Valley.
Now, if you can just prod EA to do a better job of keeping their stations up and functioning at full capacity. It's got to the point that I now will charge...
They need that station and the restaurant. Not much in that area. Lee Vining is pretty limited. We ate at the deli a couple times while staying in Lee Vining.

Dan,
Stations that are turned 90 degrees with a ramp are for disabled so they can use them in a wheelchair. But yes, sun damage is a serious problem on the East Side.
I haven't stopped at Division Creek but I saw that it has a poor rating. You might call Paul xxx in Independence with the Bolt...
Thanks Guy. That's much needed. Mein Gott is that place busy. A DCFC would be ideal but anything would be better than nothing. They must pump an enormous amount of gas there.
I didn't see the kiosks at the old gas station in Toulumne Meadows but there was too much heavy vehicle activity for me...
Guy,
I love this site. I used it several times on a week-long stay in Lee Vining. Easy walk to our motel. The ClipperCreek will give 7 kW on both sides with two cars charging. I met Janet Carle while there and it was the electricians idea to put in the capacity to charge both cars at rated and...
Yes, NFC is not standard on low-end models. I now from experience buying cheaper phones. ;)
However, I use it when I can. EVgo doesn't use it. But now EVgo does plug and charge so I don't need it there. At a recent EA session at Coso Junction it wouldn't work so I had to do the app and swipe...
Agree Dan. EA kiosks at Cost Junction are unreliable. I got 1 out of 4 to charge. Lot of time wasted and I only need a 10 min charge too to climb to Horseshoe Meadow. Caltrans kiosk was occupied or I would have preferred it. I now stop at the Caltrans first and the EA stations are the back up...
Thanks Dan. I've found Brady's to be reliable and we've needed to use it several times. And those kiosks are much better than the 50 kW stations that people are still putting in. We've got to get those Rivian stations opened to non-Rivian. That would make a hell of a difference.
Maturango...
You can also use Android Auto with Torque Pro and a PID for SOC. It gives the SOC that the car is reporting to the DIC (Driver Information Center).

My take is the Bolt is a good value especially with the price cut. In 2020 you could get a Bolt for that price. We did. You had to do your homework and we did.
As to the future of the Bolt? That's a fools errand. No one can predict what goes on in those corporate towers.
We need good entry...
