Thanks all for the response! I just wanted to get an overall feeling from everyone on this issue. My daily commute will be about 43 miles so I should have plenty of spare electrons to drive however which way I feel like which will be great. I don't plan on thrashing the car by any means, but...
My wife and I can’t wait to take delivery of our Leaf which should be here in 4 months or so, however something has been nagging me about Leaf ownership – driving behavior. I’ll give you a quick summary of our driving styles:
Me
Highway driving: 65-70mph
Back roads: Always 5mph over the speed...
I just picked up this light for my upcoming Leaf, however it was VERY hard to find as only one Lowes in Seattle had it in stock! Better pick it up now if you can as they don't know how long they will stock it...
Ah - thanks for the info. I primarily use my iPod for music in the car, but sometimes I like to listen to Podcasts via my WP7 so I'll probably use BT for that.
Hi all,
Just wondering - has anyone tried to see if the Leaf can control Windows Phone 7 or a Zune while playing music? When I say "control", I mean can you use the wheel controls to play/pause, skip, etc.
Thanks,
-Aaron
WHOHOOOOOO! Yah, after the last few posts the light came on and everything made sense :) Good thing too - the wife was on the fence without the tax credit....
OK! I think this is finally making sense now! So tell me if this scenario looks right:
Federal tax owed for 2010: $25,000
Leaf Tax Credit: $7,500
TAX DUE: $17,500
Withholdings from paycheck: $26,000
REFUND: $8,500
See, this is why I'm confused :)
The reason why I wanted clairifaction in the first place was that it was my understanding from reading this thread that unless you end up owing tax at tax-filing time, the $7,500 is worthless to a Leaf buyer. I am most likely expecting a refund for 2011 like I...
So then to make it plain and simple (just trying to be perfectly clear here):
1. Buy Leaf in 2011
2. File taxes for 2011
3. Receive $7,500 tax credit in the form of *cash refund* IF I am receiving a tax refund already
OR
If I owe the IRS extra money at tax time, the $7,500 is applied to my...
Thanks for your response wsbca. For example, we have no kids but own a house and a condo which we rent out. Last year we received a tax refund of about $2,500. So to benefit from the $7,500 tax credit for this year we will need to deduct less from our paycheck so that we owe more during tax...
Ok I just want to verify what I've learned about the tax credit - if any of the below are NOT true, please correct me.
- If I decide to BUY the Leaf this year (2011), I will receive a $7500 tax credit upon filing my taxes for 2011.
- If I do NOT owe anything on my taxes for 2011, then the...
