OpenEVSE - Open Source Charging Station

I can't recommend Chris' Open EVSE enough. He was kind enough to take my broken ChargeAmerica unit and convert to his system. It has worked flawlessly ever since. I also have Phil's upgrade of my Nissan unit, which I now carry in the car. For awhile it was my only means to power-up after the...

    1 year service

My 1 year service + recall software update at 11K miles plus tire rotation and wash at Tustin Nissan was free. They did not try to sell me anything. I highly recommend them.

Electric drive vehicle credit 8936 decreased/rejected by IRS

My CPA here in California filed my federal return electronically and the refund including tax credit was posted in my bank account in about two weeks. He filed on form 8936 Qualified Plug-in Electric Drive Motor Vehicle Credit. I hope that information is helpful to you.

240V EV-ChargeAmerica EVSE - (likely scam buyer beware)

It doesn't look quite the same without the frayed wires and all the extra useless stuff. But I can't wait to re-install it and know it will work without putting me in danger. Thanks again, Chris.

240V EV-ChargeAmerica EVSE - (likely scam buyer beware)

It's looking very nice indeed. So glad Chris got a hold of it before it burned my house down! Thanks, Chris!

Is it normal to lose 8.3% charge a week with no driving?

I suppose the exact percent battery loss during a week of inactivity will be know as soon as either Gary or Robert take a vacation; they will read exact SOC percents on their SOC digital readers before leaving and on return, and will calculate the difference. When are one of you two going on...

    Post Removed

I have a EV-Charge America EV2104 which works very well. I particularly like that it plugs into my 50 amp 240 outlet (not hard wired), so if needed, I could take it with me. The outside structure is very solid. The plug is now the same one as comes with the car. I am very happy with it.

Anybody else's XM trial end today?

I lost my XM radio yesterday. I found the number this morning on the forum (866-519-7570) and called. The dealer provides us with a demo account. You have to set up your account by calling that number. It comes with 6 months free. That is the deal, plus they offer to sell you further service at...

    EV-ChargeAmerica EVSE

I don't know the answer to that question. It was not a high priority for me; in fact, I didn't know it operated with a key when I ordered it. It was just a reasonably priced evse that I liked the appearance of and was not hard wired.

    EV-ChargeAmerica EVSE

Today I received my evse from EV-ChargeAmerica with a new plug and cord. My first objective was to examine the plug; to my great relief it looks exactly the same as the one provided by Nissan on the 120 volt cord except without a blue end cover attachment. The cord is not the orange one I sent...
