    iOS LeafSpy Pro Support

That was the problem. The LEAF wasn't on. The instructions said (in iOS Device Setup) "The Leaf does not need to be on" but that is just for setting up the wi-fi. I missed the fact that it has to be on for the actual measurements. Anyway, it's all working now. Thanks for your help.

    iOS LeafSpy Pro Support

Hi, I got LeafSpy Pro version 1.0.10 from the itunes app store and am having trouble connecting to the LEAF. The status stays in Yellow -- Retry 10 -- Wait 14 -- OK -- No DATA. That's pretty much the output on the debug Console as well. But it does not progress from there. I'm using the...

    Tesla Powerwall

Is there a cost advantage to installing the Powerwall? I don't see it. I already have solar panels and and am on a Time Of Use (Northern California PG&E E-9) plan with my electric utility. I get that I would have power if there is an outage, but that is not a compelling enough reason for me...

Those Three blue LEDs on the dashboard ...

But when you parked your car in the driveway that morning the sun was shining directly on the windshield, so you couldn't see the LEDs. Hey, it's my scenario right? :-) But I'm sure you see my point, that the state of the LEDs at any given time don't tell you the whole story. There is...

Those Three blue LEDs on the dashboard ...

Here's a scenario: 1. You have a weekend charge timer (all day); and a weekday charge timer (night only). 2. You take a longish trip in the morning, come back home and plug in the charger. 3. That afternoon you look (from your upstairs window) at the dashboard and see that all the LEDs are off...

Those Three blue LEDs on the dashboard ...

Thanks. That's way more understandable (and succinct) than the manual. I guess I wasn't expecting the LEDs to turn off when the charger is connected (after 15 minutes). If you walk up to the car and see (1) the three LEDs are off and (2) the charger is connected, it could mean either that: (a)...

Those Three blue LEDs on the dashboard ...

Yep. Another newbie question/request. I found the manual's explanation for those three blue LEDs incomprehensible. Is there a user created cheat-sheet or video link that does a better job? Examples: (1) Middle section of CH-26 of the 2012 manual: "The indicator lights illuminate in order...

    How/where to see charging history?

They don't have it? I'm really surprised since they have all that other stuff about trees and what-not. Thanks for the idea about having the car notify me. At home I have "The Energy Detective" (electric usage monitor) and I believe it can profile the current-flow ramp-up to "recognize"...

    How/where to see charging history?

Carwings shows me usage and consumption in kWh based on when I drove the car. I'm interested in seeing a time history of when the car was charged and how much. Where can I view such records? Sorry if this is obvious -- I couldn't find it after playing around with carwings for a bit, and this...

    Official California PG&E Thread

Thanks for the information. Since E9x appears to be in flux, I'll just hunker down and stay with E6 for now and see where all this is heading. Since PG&E has the relevant data, and since it it is a regulated monopoly, I wish there was an option for consumers to play "what-if" with the prior...

    Official California PG&E Thread

I got my Nissan Leaf today. I have had a 6.7KW PV system for a couple of years. I've been on the PG&E E-6 plan. Last year I just about broke even with PG&E. Is there a consensus on this forum which rate plan would be best for such a situation? Should I switch to the E9a or is E6 still the...
