A reminder about the festival tomorrow in Marietta, Georgia. Atlanta Georgia Area (Marietta) event Nov 8

There is an event scheduled for November 8th in Marietta, Ga that started as a small car show for a High School, but has quickly grown to near festival status. Part of that event is the "Better Decisions - EV Corral", sponsored by the EV Club of the South. You're invited to attend, admission...

encounters w/other Leafers w/surprising lack of knowledge

Yeah, I really enjoyed the thread earlier in the week where you proved your google-fu was strong and looked up the "official" voltages for various countries.... Hate to break it to you, with modern power supplies, 110, 115, and 120 are all the same thing when it comes to appliances like...

encounters w/other Leafers w/surprising lack of knowledge

I disagree, somewhat.... It's up to the person who buys or leases the car to find this forum, plugshare, and to learn about the fairly useless things that people like to talk about (gids, gom, etc). No, "gids" aren't useless, but to the person who is going to be the 'next generation' of EV...

    2013 Leaf - Dead 12-Volt Battery every 2 Weeks

I use antigravity batteries in my racebikes, because they are so light. They are lighter than other lithium ion batteries because of the cell technology, somewhere on their website they explain it. Basically, the shape of the cells is how they do it. The important thing to know about these...

Nissan leaf war behind US and Europe

There is a good chance that if you can find a nav unit from a wrecked EU car, it will have the maps resident in it. Try swapping the nav unit in your car from a crashed local car. And that parrot isn't dead, he's stunned.

Has anyone experienced a hum/vibration noise on a 2013 LEAF?

I would look in the CV joint/axle assembly, or a wheel bearing. Loading either part up with acceleration or braking would likely change or eliminate the vibration (sound). I haven't spent any time at all with the braking system, so if it is there, I'd have no idea where to look. If it were my...

    FIRE using LVL 1 - 120 V Trickle Charger

I charge at work off a 15amp 110 outlet. Since I rarely fall below 80%, or if I do, it's still more than 75% so far, would I be correct in assuming my OEM ESVE is not pulling the full 12amps for very long before it ramps down to slow the charge? Setting fire to my workplace would be considered...

Cimate Control Timer- Can't set temperature?

again, thanks dpcolorado for helping me out! Set the timer for 10 minutes after I expected to get out to the car and the air conditioner was quietly humming away. It not only took the edge off the heated air, the interior parts must have been cooled as well because it didn't spike back up as...

Cimate Control Timer- Can't set temperature?

Thanks dpgcolorado! I figured I was being a bonehead... I think it did come on and and then shut off 15 minutes before I got out to the car. It wasn't brutally hot inside it today, like it has been in the afternoon, I just attributed it to using the windshield reflective shade for the first...

Cimate Control Timer- Can't set temperature?

2014 S model, no navigation console.... I have the car plugged into 110V with the OEM trickle charger. I set the Climate Control Timer to "on" and 15:20 (3:20 pm) using the two buttons to the left of steering wheel and the information display at the center of the dash. The time is set with...

Park button not always engaging park?

why would you get out of the car without turning it off, without setting the parking brake, or at least making sure you put it in park? That's not much different than thinking you unloaded a gun, pointed it at your head, and pulling the trigger. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't...

    Trickle Charge

He updated me by PM, the 120v outlet he was using was not grounded, causing the problem.

Question to 2013/14 drivers from a 2012 driver.

for my '14 S with quickcharge option, the 3K and 6K times are not the same. Maybe the car you drove did not have the 6K charge ability installed? I'm not sure, but I think the 6K charge is part of the quickcharge option.
