Just wanted to throw in some caution, but I heard from someone at a previous San Francisco Bayleafs meeting that the system is NOT officially approved by Nissan. He had purchased the upgrade because the Enginer advertisement in an EV magazine had mentioned that was approved. Unfortunately...
Is it possible to get an odometer reading from the CAR-CAN? It would be nice to have it on the screen for record-keeping with screenshots taken of the Leaf Battery App.
Formatting issue on 0.26g:
In portrait mode on Screen 1, the added text indicating QC Count and L1/L2 Count causes the text to overrun. The VIN runs off the screen towards the left and the L1/L2 Count number runs off to the right, making neither value completely visible.
Just trying out 0.26 and noticed one small bug. When the app is on page 4 where the battery temps and psi show, the label indicating F or (PSI) does not show when using the black background (when the bottom light switch is off). Probably it's just that the text is to black...
Got the Simvalley Mini ELM327 (mentioned previously by MWalsh) working with a Samsung Galaxy S3. Took a few attempts repeating the same code (1234) to get it to pair, but it seems to be working fine since the pairing.
First of all, the three lights that mark charging do not indicate the exact percentage of charge in the car. 1 light blinking means that your car has 0-4 bars; 2 lights blinking mean 5-8 bars; and 3 lights blinking means 9-12 bars. In your particular example, the charge level between that 9...
Forget the Coda as well (official EPA range is 88 miles when new), and the company is likely to close.
Maybe the electric Rav4 or a Tesla if you insist on a pure electric, otherwise a Volt (or other plug-in hybrids) or a Prius would be the better bet for your particular situation.
Not in Canada, but I'd like to hear back from people who have used this filter and would love a comparison with the TYC (OEM) filter. Please post opinions when you get the product :)
Enterprise is supposed to have LEAFs for rental at their Civic Center and SFO locations, but a quick search online shows those locations as being both "Sold Out" today.
City Carshare has a few all electric car options (i.e. Ford Focus Electric, I-Miev, and LEAF) as well.
Zipcar has a few Honda...
I've used the Blink's timer since 1.7 software and it has worked fine. The latest software has been very stable and I wouldn't have qualms about using the Blink timers. I also have the car timer set for 24/7 80% charge and just use the timer override button before plugging in if I need a 100%...
I was curious myself since I saw the charger listed on Plugshare, so I called up the number listed and reached the Morgan Hill Ford dealership and inquired about the charger. The salesperson I spoke with agreed that it was a "fast charger" but when I pressed him about which vehicle it connected...
Looks like the LADWP still has rebates for EVSEs if you install a second meter (may be related to the EV Project), but I'd assume that Arcadia is serviced by SCE, who doesn't currently provide any rebates for EVSE installs.
