Update 2. Good news: Bad battery module will be replaced under warranty. Bad news: Module will be shipped from mainland to Hawaii by boat, which will take about 3 weeks.

Update 1. Was on my way to dealer to check weak cell when EV warning light illuminated 5 miles from dealer and car went into turtle mode. Left car at dealer where I was told battery will be pulled and faulty cell replaced or entire battery will be replaced under warranty.

One bit of information I forgot to include in my post is that Leaf Spy indicates that cell #68 is weak. Could one weak cell cause this problem?

finally got my Leaf Plus to connect to wifi by parking as close to router as possible, turning on router security and entering password. Was able to check for software and map updates. Strangely, I was not able to connect when security was turned off.

FURTHER INFORMATION. I obtained a Nissan tow eye 51112-CA00A which is 22mm x 2.5 pitch. This tow eye will thread in about three turns before binding up. I measured the thread pitch on the car using a stir stick with epoxy, and the pitch is 3.0. So far I have not been able to find a tow eye...
