    Winner?

I wrote to them but never got a response. Thanks for posting it. Now I can stop wondering and go back to checking my dashboard to see when I'll get to buy mine. :|

    Winner?

Congrats on winning the contest in San Jose! The bike is definitely very nice. If nothing else, we came out of it with a sweet ride of another type, right? Honestly, I think the reason we got as many votes as we did was that we stuck with people we knew would be sympathetic. We...

    Winner?

We got notified about the bike pretty soon after the first contest ended (1-2 weeks), but they very well could hold off until later to announce the grand prize at some bigger event. Either way, I hope it's public enough that the rest of us who don't win are all kept in suspense forever.

    Winner?

Okay, so this is Yami1975, a.k.a. the "William C." who you have been verbally peeing on for three pages now. My family and I were all excited to test drive the LEAF, so we all participated in the contest and had fun doing it (contrary to the theory that I rented a wife and kids for the video.)...

Poll : Are you having problems with your Blink EVSE ?

It doesn't need to be for any of the other things I connect via WiFi. It pulls the DNS address automatically from the ISP. That's why I'm so confused. I'd be more than a little bummed if I had to downgrade the router to keep Blink happy. Hopefully there's another way (firmware updates or...

Poll : Are you having problems with your Blink EVSE ?

In our case, the diagnostic tests always show that the WiFi signal is strong and the IP address was successfully acquired, but that the LAN is not accessible and DNS Name resolution failed. I talked to tech support for about an hour the other day and managed to stump the panel. The guy I...

Post your "why I deserve a Nissan LEAF" Contest video here

Hey all, My wife just found a page on Nissan's site that lists out the winners of each drive event. I recognized a couple of folks from their submissions on this site, so I thought I'd post it here. I'm sure it'll get updated as other contests are decided. Congrats to the finalists and good...

<snip> I'm not sure how you e-blasted your link to the newsletter, but I'm almost wondering if that somehow disqualified you. According to the contest rules, the three acceptable methods of sharing the link were e-mail, Facebook and Twitter. I don't know if they'd actually bother to police...

Ditto that. I think you're entitled to vote for as many as you like, so don't wait until it's too late. Also don't forget to share any of the ones you think deserve to win on Facebook, Twitter or e-mail. The "viral" part is the whole point of the contest!

Rainbow of LEAFs - See the colors

Thanks for posting these. I like the blue color they incorporated into the metallic logo. It looks exceptionally cool on the black LEAF!

Here's ours from the Portland event. My kids are unusually verbose for their age (5 and 2) and they picked up on a lot of what we were saying during the test drive. I guarantee this will probably be the first and only time you'll ever hear a two-year-old say "acceleration." Thanks...

    Portland Oregon Group

Bowthom, Did Tonkin say how much difference there was between MSRP and dealer invoice? I have been thinking about joining OEVA, but I kind of felt weird about it since I don't actually own an EV yet.

    The colors suck.

So I sent another note off to Nissan USA customer service about the colors. I made a point of requesting colors that I could find in other current Nissan models in the hopes that it would be more reasonable to do so. Here's what I wrote...

    Portland Oregon Group

Ditto for me. Wilsonville isn't unreasonably far away, but it would be a lot more convenient if we could pick ours up closer to home. Do the local dealerships have some sort of mutual agreement on this kind of stuff, or is each separate one locally owned and answers only to itself? I would...

    The colors suck.

Having seasonal colors to encourage folks to buy year-round would be an awesome idea! Even their Espresso Black could pass for a moderately attractive brown for winter colors. How cool would that be?
