Re: Battery Upgrade, Pairing? - What's possible with LeafSpyPro and what's not

This seems relevant, and has a decent discussion of the issues: https://evsenhanced.com/product/nissan-leaf-40kwh-lithium-battery-controller-lbc/ Plus probably their battery translator (there is a link on the above page). Note that the prices will be in New Zealand dollars. Edit: It might make more ...

Re: 6.6 kw charger on 2013 S model.

I might have to change my 6.6 kW onboard charger because the 220 volt Nissan charger, high voltage line connected (shorted) to the Pilot and/or proximity circuit and damaged to onboard charger. Is it possible that all I have to do is replace fuses or the printed circuit board? Zero chance that it's...

Re: Large parasitic draw on 12v system after windows left open in rain storm

By the way, here are the current DTCs read through LeafSpy: ... 6 scary sounding DTCs... I'm guessing that some of those could be due to the auxiliary battery voltage having been very low, and your frequent disconnection of the negative battery terminal. Perhaps reset the DTCs (if possible), and us...

Re: DIODE FIXED!

Yes, one direction 4MOhm and the other no connection "0L", Oh. OL is "no conduction", not "no resistance"; no resistance is zero ohms. The resistance measurements aren't terribly meaningful in this circuit, as the voltage will be too low to turn on the diode. 4M ohm in...

Re: DIODE FIXED!

- Pilot: Resistance: 4 MOhm (+ on Earth), no resistance (- on earth) Diode Test: no connection (+ on earth), 1.77V (- on earth) Those readings seem normal, although I don't know why you get "no resistance" with positive on the control pilot pin (negative on earth). Since, stated before, r...

Re: 2012 Charges 10 Seconds then stops

I have a 2012 Nissan LEAF SL that stopped charging over the weekend. ... And is there a solution beside replacing the onboard charger? There is the option to repair it, or get it repaired. The 2012 on-board chargers are made by Nichicon, with a similar design to the ones in most iMiEVs. There are a...

That is not the diode. No, The capital omega symbol indicates ohms, so that's the 2.7k resistor that should be in the vehicle inlet, per the J1772 diagram. Resistor R5 in this schematic from Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SAE_J1772#/media/File:J1772_signaling_circuit.svg The diode is a ti...

Re: Onboard charger capacitors failed

i change 4,7ohm resistor, it was burned. car charged 3-4 times and it burned again, i change this resistor, after 2-3 charge it blows, there is 3 pieces of 4,7 ohm 5W resistor, i have changed all of them with 10W resistors 4,7 ohm. Those pre-charge resistors suffer very high peak power demands for ...

Re: DIODE FIXED!

My problem is the Proximity Detection Pin. It is either pushed in or broken off... maintenance and refuse to take responsibility. They gave me a quote for $2200 to fix. I'm probably way too late to be useful, but the pilot and proximity pins are deliberately considerably shorter than the other pins...
