Re: 2021 SV+ W/TECH & $4000 Tax Credit

No new tax break news. For me it is a matter of not being able to take advantage of the used EV tax credit (again) The LEAF has its issues. For one, it is likely to be a local buyer. Second, I imagine the buyer is either clueless or quite well informed. The middle ground probably shy away from the ...

Re: 2021 SV+ W/TECH & $4000 Tax Credit

Mark,

Your car looks really nice and it’s priced right with the $4k tax credit. If you were in Florida I would have bought it as a spare. Just 4 months ago I was looking for just this kind of deal.

This won’t last long. Good luck with the sale.

Why do "some groups" bad mouth EVs?

As a 5 time Leaf owner and a current 2x Tesla owner I constantly get negative comments about EVs from certain politically leaning uninformed people. It drives me crazy For Example, comments I've heard just this year: I wouldn't by an EV because of how much the battery cost to replace every 3 years. ...

Tesla charging comparison

We upgraded our Leaf to a Tesla model Y. We normally charge the Tesla to 80%. My wife had to drive the 125 mile from cabin to house for emergency dentist appt today. We can just make it both ways with 80% barge. We have a 60 amp Wall Charger hard wired to 60 amps at home that outputs 48 amps to the ...

Re: Any experience with insurance value for totaled Leaf?

Let me add, uninsured motorist coverage in Florida only covers medical bills. Our collision coverage paid for the car damage.

Re: Any experience with insurance value for totaled Leaf?

Greetings. My 2015 Leaf with 51000 miles I was involved in a hit and run accident and my insurance company has decided to total the car on my uninsured motorist coverage. Does anyone have an idea for a fair valuation I should expect? I fully expect the insurance company to lowball. I'm still waitin...

Re: Embarrassed myself with rented Nissan eleaf

I guess that little book in the glove box is to hard to open? Go to the index... look up Parking Brake...turn to page... The OP was probably confused and overwhelmed. The rental company should have spent some time going over the basics. After owning Leafs since 2015 we were T-boned in Novem...

Re: charging infrastructure supporting NACS

I guess I don't understand your point. Seventy-five miles is a trivial distance for any modern EV when traveling long distance, assuming that it is in the direction one wants to go. My point is that I might not even be going in the direction of the next Tesla stations- not everyone travels the same...

The Tesla slim NACS plug compared to a bulky CSS is night and day better. The Tesla slim NACS will do L1, L2 or DC L3

Re: OEM charge cable compatibility

Hi all. New member here from Lansing, Michigan. I'm sorry if these are repeated questions but I could not find them in a search. I need a new portable charge cable for my 2018 Leaf SV and only have 110/120V outlet availability. From Nissan, the part model number for this trim level is 296M1-5SA0A a...
