Re: TCU Teardown

Hello, my question is, are tcu modules "plug and play"? Can U exchange them in car as U wish? Seems unlikely. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10152513-9999.pdf was the procedure to swap out the 2G TCU in '11 to '15 Leafs for a 3G-capable one. And now, the 3G version doesn't work...

I had a '13 and there were two methods for cars with nav system (SV and SL trims) and a method for cars w/o (S trim). Those are the marketing letters used in the US. We don't have Tekna, Ace...

Re: people getting rid of their Leafs/EVs/PHEVs and going back to ICEVs

Two guys at my work sold their Model 3's. One of them is down to a BRoD (GM, IIRC extended-length) SUV as he said he didn't need his 3 as he moved to be much closer to work. I checked in with one of the guys. He still has the BRoD GM SUV and an ICE RV now (which I guess could be a battering van of ...

Re: 2014 Leaf | Didn't Start | Lots of Warning Lights

I bought a group 51R 12 volt from Costco as I mentioned at https://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic. ... 68#p572068.

On my used former '13 Leaf, the original 12 volt bit the dust followed by the "84 month" free replacement from the dealer.
