Re: The 62kWh Battery Topic

Dave Good call out. My statement was meant to be taken in jest, but sentiment is sometimes lost in the written word. Good idea about soc on our next trek. For SOC l, when going west, first charge is usually to 90%-92% , 2nd stop is to 80-90% depending on meal length and final stop to 70-80% based o...

Re: The 62kWh Battery Topic

It's a standard 3 stops for the 580 miles. You can technically do it in 2, but it's likely slower. Skokie to World's largest truck stop. Then to Bevington IA, finally a top up in Bethany MO. Sadly my adult children denied me the seat in the Leaf and they did the run while the wife and I took the Ro...

Re: 6.6 kw charger on 2013 S model.

With that little information on what happened, where was applied 400V, what diagnosis you did.... I cannot help! And if 400V was applied on the control pilot.... Good luck, it is certainly more than just fuses. This is not possible. Even if you took a J 1772 handle and put it on a 400 volt feed, th...

Re: 6.6 kw charger on 2013 S model.

2013 leaf 6.6kw S trim. I might have to change my 6.6 kW onboard charger because the 220 volt Nissan charger, high voltage line connected (shorted) to the Pilot and/or proximity circuit and damaged to onboard charger. Is it possible that all I have to do is replace fuses or the printed circuit boar...

Re: The battery replacement/buyback thread.

There's a report on reddit of a 2018 getting a new warranty replacement in 3 weeks. https://www.reddit.com/r/leaf/comments/16t99ux/3_weeks_later_and_i_got_my_2018_leaf_with_86000/ Lends credibility to the theory that there are batteries available, and that they are prioritizing Gen2 cars. Could hav...

Re: 6.6 kw charger on 2013 S model.

2013 leaf 6.6kw S trim. I might have to change my 6.6 kW onboard charger because the safety circuit got fried from the 400 volt 220 charger. Is it possible that all I have to do is replace fuses or the printed circuit board? Charging does not light up the charge lights. There is no 4 volts on the s...

Re: Rapid charge loss

You have a weak cell and it appears by your LS screenshot, you will only see it when the car is under a heavy load. I am surprised you aren't throwing codes...

traction battery was what? How did you determine that w/o starting it? Too long sitting that low will kill it. They need to do "something" with it soon.

Re: How to tell what Kwh battery car has 24 30 40 etc

@Stanton Thanks for that! Had a look at some of the weights of the cars, my 2015 with 24 Kwh is 4193, some 16 & 17 were 4431 prolly 30 Kwh... @DaveinOlyWA Perfect sir! Clue! Looks like #s 4, 5, & 6 of the VIN correspond to what you've indicated! :) In some of these though with 10 or 12 bars...

Re: The battery replacement/buyback thread.

Has anyone who sold their Leaf back to Nissan successfully negotiate a discount on a new 2023 or 2024 Leaf? I saw someone got $1000 below dealer cost, but each time I mention it to arbitration they ignore that part. I've had my 2nd repurchase agreement given to me now. I just would like to know tha...
