Re: How often do you drive without ECO?

I use ECO all the time. It still has enough pep for my driving style, so there is no reason to switch it off.

Re: Hotel / motel charging

If they exist, these outlets are probably there for another purpose. Do you want the gardener to unplug your EV when he needs to plug in a hedge-trimmer? If a hotel wants to provide L1 charging for customers, they would need dedicated circuits and outlets close to parking. At that point, it's not mu...

Re: The 62kWh Battery Topic

So I measured my S+ too soon, it further adjusted up to 93.24% SoH... car was at 93.1% on Dec 26, 2021. I will certainly take flat SoH for 18+ months. I've notices that BMS updates to SOH, when they occur, usually take two or three days. I've also had basically flat SOH over the past 16 months. Doe...

Re: New 2023 SV Plus impressions

The radio in Sirius XM music is noticeably lower quality without the Bose with its sub woofer. The lack of HomeLink garage opener rear view mirror is disappointing but I’ll work on fixing that OTOH, not having the Bose subwoofer gives you a clean floor in the trunk. Losing HomeLink would be a real ...

Re: Hydrogen and FCEVs discussion thread

Recent commentary in the Vermont Digger: https://vtdigger.org/2022/10/19/greg-pierce-vermont-should-choose-hydrogen-as-its-fuel-of-the-future/ Lots of hyperbole here..... Yup. In order for hydrogen to have a future, we first need scalable sources of carbon-free hydrogen. The source referenced in th...

Re: Please help... I want to love my nissan Leaf

As Leftie said above you should go mostly by the battery SOC %, not the remaining range. The remaining range is just a projection based on recent efficiency and can be all over the map. Keep driving your Leaf (I assume you haven't had it long) and you will soon become comfortable with what its reall...

Use PlugShare before you go to check if the stations you need are working.

alozzy wrote: Mon Aug 22, 2022 8:47 pm The most fair system would be if the DC fast chargers calculate based on both time and per kWh and then bill for whichever is cheapest.
IMHO it would be fairer to bill for whichever is more expensive. You want a disincentive for folks using DC chargers to reach 100% SOC.
