Re: Nissan is Either Ending Free Remote Access or Wants You to Pay Them Anyway

Thanks. No big surprise. The nut case I spoke with even claimed to have looked at my account. Now how am I supposed to get remote access working again? And if I file a complaint with Nissan, will they actually track her down and Can her? They must have a record of who handled my call...

Re: Buying advice. 2018 leaf n connecta

One of my other concerns is since the car has so many km's, that even if the battery is good, what is the average span of one of those motors? Perhaps the inverter is in the far end of its lifespan? The motors have yet to start to wear out. We are seeing issues with old Gen I inverters that may be ...

Re: Nissan is Either Ending Free Remote Access or Wants You to Pay Them Anyway

I too just got another email trying to sell me services that my car supposedly can't use.

Before I further pursue this, I'd really like to see whether there are other drivers of '21 and newer Leafs here who still have - or don't have - telematic access. Only '21 and newer, please.

I stand corrected. Hopefully that's a rare occurrence.

Before that happens, you should get DTCs.

Re: Nissan is Either Ending Free Remote Access or Wants You to Pay Them Anyway

It's just bizarre, but the worst thing is that I remain without access, as Cold weather approaches. I'm going to reach out to the car salesman we've dealt with since 2018: he's good guy, and hopefully can either get this straightened out or can put me in touch with the right people. That dealership ...

Re: Nissan is Either Ending Free Remote Access or Wants You to Pay Them Anyway

She did say that our 2020 would be unaffected.

I'm strongly inclinded to believe that this is BS, but why would they have helpline agents reading fake announcements from Nissan...???

Re: Nissan is Either Ending Free Remote Access or Wants You to Pay Them Anyway

Today, while waiting for my housemate and one of our feral cats at the veterinarians' office, I finally contacted the Nissan EV line about not having remote access to my car since June 15. I can live without remote A/C access, but I often need to get heat remotely in Winter. I got a nice, helpful wo...

Re: New Leaf

Welcome to the forum. You have a Leaf "S" trim, which is the budget entry level Leaf. What this means is no heat pump, which may or may not matter in your locale, no remote connectivity for the car, and unless the car has the Fast Charge port, you have a slower onboard charger. 120 volt ch...

Re: End Of Lease Dilemma

I haven't wanted to post about it for fear of jinxing it, but today we closed on the sale of the lot. We used a local realtor who charges a flat $3k for lots like ours, and a lawyer who charges a flat $750 (what a racket!). The lot sold for $21,500, with me getting the price up $750 in last minute n...
