Re: Bolt versus Leaf: Am I crazy?

Why wait until January when you can get $7500 until the end of the year? (If you have enough tax liability)

Re: What will my 2022 Leaf SL Plus bring in?

Here’s the offer: “Good morning Sir. I just got to work and I was told that the number would be $33,000“ The 2023 cost me $32,554 ($38,255 MSRP + $1.779 in fees, taxes, etc minus $7,500 tax credit) You should get online quotes too from Carvana, Carmax, Vroom, Driveway, Shift, Carbuyerusa, etc. When...

Re: Emporia EVSE

So, one minor issue so far. When I turn off the EVSE remotely (from the phone app, or with PyEmVue), the EVSE beeps and comes up with an error, during the time that the Leaf is waiting with contactors still closed, in case power comes back. When the Leaf gives up after about 5 minutes, then the bee...

I think that outlet is only rated up to 40A continuous. For a 48A EVSE, you'll have to hardwire it or get a __-60 outlet.

Re: Will 2023 Ariya and Leaf qualify for Tax Credit?

The new rules for tax credits are confusing to say the least. Ariya: From what I can decipher the Ariya WILL NOT qualify for the tax credit. Am I wrong? Leaf: I just made a deal to trade my 2020 SL Plus in on a 2023 SV Plus that arrives the end of September. I had to read multiple web postings and ...

Re: 2020 SL Plus to 2023 SV Plus

. Looking at the 2023 SV+ specs the only thing of significance I could find is that that my 2020 SL Plus has leather vs the Cloth in the SV Plus. My 2016 SV had cloth and I actually preferred it to leather. It’s not as hot to sit on in the Florida heat. It will also lose the Bose subwoofer and HD r...

Rebbi wrote: Sat Aug 27, 2022 7:44 am With the $7500 federal tax credit and the $2500 Texas rebate, I’m looking at about a $3200 net cost, which is pretty good.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that Texas rebate is gone:

Re: Goodbye Leaf, Hello Bolt Thanks to Carvana

Great plan. The Bolt is the EV value champion now. I would get one if it had a wider back seat.

Rebbi wrote: Tue Aug 23, 2022 9:30 am Oh, and one more thing. Under the new Inflation Reduction Act rebates, even a used EV (up to a certain price) is eligible for a $4000 tax rebate! Further info on the EPA.gov web site, I believe.
Just keep in mind that this does not start until next year.

Re: Is this 2020 Leaf a good deal?

I was shocked to learn from my local dealer that new Leafs are only coming in at the rate of about 1 per month and are sold before they physically arrive… yikes. He just received a 2020 , extended range leaf S Plus with the extended range battery. It has about 16k miles on it. Looked it up on Carfa...
