Re: The battery replacement/buyback thread.

" Certified" usually means that they have a long list of little things they are supposed to check, but rarely do. It's pretty much the same with most if not all manufacturers.

Re: 2023 40 kWh Leaf Optimal Charge Level

Unless you have 'full charge priority' (or words to that effect) set, the car will fall short of a full charge when the charge timer is set to end later than the car is actually charging.

Re: Strange Tire Maintenance Message

On a slight tangent: the 36psi recommendation by Nissan is too low for the heavy Leaf. You want 38-44psi. I suggest 38-40 in Winter.

Bits & Pieces

We need a topic where people can post a comment or bit of news that doesn't really need a topic of its own. In this case, my news is that, after ten plus years of driving Leafs, I have finally installed a L-2 charging station. It's a Clipper Creek HCS (or maybe LCS - I forget) 25, meaning it's only ...

Re: Michelin Energy Saver A/S

For my housemate's Plus, we found Goodyear UltraGrips on clearance for s little under $100, so we put a set on and she's going to drive them year round, into the ground. We drive few miles, and so far they seem to be holding up fine. My Michelin x-Ice tires on Winter wheels are sitting in the garage...

Re: Leaf was my "Gateway Drug"

Ideology aside, neither my housemate (a very recent EV convert) nor I find ICE vehicles at all enjoyable. Sitting at a stoplight and having an engine running for no good reason is just annoying, and the power curve of most engines makes them less fun to drive. These things, along with the smell, mak...
