Re: Unused green and white wires?

Does your cruise control work? One of the brake pedal switches is for sensing when the brake pedal has been depressed. If that green/white wire pair was missed during assembly, and it's supposed to be wired to that brake pedal sensor, then cruise control won't work.

Re: 240V Charging Not @orking

Actually, this could be an option to use with OpenEVSE for tracking charging costs:

Re: 240V Charging Not @orking

I don't think there's such a thing as a low cost EVSE that also does basic billing. If you need metering/billing, then a commercial EVSE would be needed, I would think... https://grizzl-e.com/grizzl-e-smart-business/ However, maybe OpenEVSE could so basic billing. I've never used it though, but perh...

Re: Is this a problem? Unlocking charger

It's totally safe to unplug the J1772 handle while L2 charging, as the proximity pilot has a resistor based logic that senses when the button is pressed and it cuts the current flow accordingly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNEU7blg8JE&t=8m28s Obviously, you want to be sure to depress the but...

The "Auto Unlock" -> "All Doors - Ign ON->OFF" setting looks promising.

Re: Locking whilst car is on

My 2013 also stays locked, with the car is ready mode. However, I did tweak the door lock settings with LeafSpy Pro long ago, so perhaps that's not the stock setting.

Re: Will software update bring 4-bar 2016 SL capacity over 8 bars?

About the only hope, at this point, of Nissan offering for sale a 62 kWh pack would be when they discontinue the LEAF. That's unlikely though, as LEAF pack production would surely be terminated too, for all but warranty purposes. Maybe a few people will luck out, if they purge some inventory for a s...

Re: Workaround / CAN MITM for a 2011 battery in a 2012 Leaf

Wow, cool project! Using an Arduino certainly makes the hardware more accessible.

What were Dala's thoughts about using an Arduino vs the CAN bridge designed by Muxsan (Emile Nijssen)? Is Dala considering porting his custom firmware over to the Arduino platform?

Re: Why is e-pedal so detrimental to efficiency?

From a Motortrend article: (EV) losses can be broken down into approximately 10 percent of the source energy from the grid lost in the charging process, 18 percent lost to the drivetrain motor components, up to 4 percent lost to auxiliary components, and another 3 percent lost solely from powertrain...

Re: Will software update bring 4-bar 2016 SL capacity over 8 bars?

In leafspy pro, turn on the service screen in settings then read the ecu versions - specifically "HV Battery". If it ends with an A, then it doesn't have the BMS firmware update. Unless things have changed lately, it should end with a C, but I don't know the current firmware version. This ...
