Feature requests/input for MUXSAN 45kWh replacement LEAF battery

As a matter of fact: one hour ago, I have checked ANWB Koerslijst and AutoWeek Occasions. Trading in my current 40kWh to a 62kWh Leaf, would cost between € 5000 and € 7000 let say. Picking a N-Connecta is ofcourse cheaper than a Tekna, but I have Tekna on the moment. So don't get me wrong: if I...

    The 62kWh Battery Topic

Isn't it interesting to exchange a used 40kWh now for a 62kWh: the mid spec ones N-Connecta go for € 18.000 now totally. My high trim 40kWh still supposed to get € 13.000 trade in. Which means it would cost me € 5000 to upgrade to a used 62kWh, which is lesser than I expected. Also Tesla Model...

I can use something else instead of nissan connect?

Don't bother: the app doesn't work properly anyway.

Do we have a battery capacity warranty? Or a battery warranty?

There seem to be a lot of cases, where Nissan isn't honouring the battery warranty: they say, that they only garuantuee the capacity. Which means if you battery breaks after 100.000km, then you have no warranty? Which sounds bollocks to me: but it happened nevertheless, to a fellow Dutchman...

Battery Degradation of a high mileage Leaf

I remain a lot between 25% and max 80% and I tend not to charge until 80% at all, because its to frustrating to do so. It would say: that it takes 6.5 hours to charge until 80% totally, but I have the experience that it actually might have faster or slower? Nevertheless, there isn't a option...

Hx is really low, but car runs great (I'm just paranoid)

It makes us paranoid: but Leafspy is in many cases correct, and it's the dealerships who make is paranoid by not acknowledging any battery issues we might experience. I kept using Leafspy, because I was experiencing battery issues and without Leafspy I would have never been able to convince the...

Battery Degradation of a high mileage Leaf

Maybe 62kWh have lesser degradation? Considering, it will have fewer charging cycles? I have a 40kWh, so for driving the same distance as you. Means I would have to charge more. Anyway I was really interested in getting a 62kWh Leaf, but that wasn't a option.

Battery Degradation of a high mileage Leaf

Just charge around 25% a 30% to 65% a max 80% dash SoC: that's what I do, because I can't charge at home. So I charge while doing shopping, that gains me a SoC of about 55% a 60% after finishing shopping. I just keep my dash SoC between 25% and 65% when not needing more range: its more...

Battery Degradation of a high mileage Leaf

Even if your driving techniques haven't changed: your tires are wearing off, so that means less rolling resistance. Which actually results in a lower energy consumption. My previous car was a Suzuki Celerio: when I bought it used, it had energy efficiency summer tires which where wore off and...

Battery Degradation of a high mileage Leaf

That's a 2020 ,( also its a 62kWh ) and not a 2019: EV's have battery degradation, due to age as well. So obviously, a 2020 would have lesser degradation then a 2019 if threatened similar. But anyway: that's close to 10% degradation. Actually I don't look at those numbers anymore.... I saw my...

Battery Degradation of a high mileage Leaf

I'm sorry to say so: but you are fooling yourself. You can't measure degradation like that, and it's bollocks that you would have only 5% battery degradation with a 2019... If you haven't checked it in Leafspy, then it's no more then guesses: and your driving skills might have improved over the...

Battery Degradation of a high mileage Leaf

This is the degradation test done by a Dutch car magazine: it was recorded last year, and published today.

Battery Degradation of a high mileage Leaf

Ukraine? I read stories, that owning an EV isn't a good idea there. Russia also attacks the electricity infrastructure.

Battery Degradation of a high mileage Leaf

Okay someone supposedly though, it was a good idea to import my previous high mileage Leaf. It has left the Netherlands since yesterday.... Why would anyone wanna import a Nissan Leaf with fried battery pack? Or they probably wouldn't have known? Anyone, it might be driving around in Africa now.

Is the CCS to CHADEMO adapter legitimate?

Its been examined by the great Dala, who is like a God. So if he says it works good, then I believe him.

Is the CCS to CHADEMO adapter legitimate?

No, but in order to make use of the 6.6kW charging you need a 3 phase 22kW public charger. Which is common in Germany, but not in the Netherlands. Here almost all 3 phase chargers are 11kW. And the Leaf can only do 1 phase charging, so you get about 3kW max from a 11kW 3 phase public charger.
  17. O

Is the CCS to CHADEMO adapter legitimate?

I think I will skip the adapter: what I really would want, is a affordable way to do three phase charging. Fast charging is expensive... But in the Netherlands, we have a lot of 11kW public AC chargers: where the Leaf only charges with 3kW. It could be way quicker, but neither I'm willing to do...

Battery Degradation of a high mileage Leaf

The story came to an end today: I brought back the high mileage Leaf, and actually I will always remember my first experience with this Nissan Leaf. Because I enjoyed some benefits with car, one of those benefits was free charging. That didn't last long, but its priceless to have experienced...

Comparison: Why I Chose a Nissan Leaf Plus over a Tesla Model 3

One should look at the TCO = total cost of ownership. You can influence this a lot, by driving energy efficient. Looking for cheap charging rates etc... Not bringing a bag with money to the dealership: when it's depreciating crazy like that, then why do dealer maintenance? Even though the only...
